Warlord
Given the "success" of the first Anarchy game, run by Argh, I've decided to take on the title of Anarchy Game Puppet (AGP) for the second game. As AGP, I make the rules, but also as AGP, my rule ends after this post (excepting that I have the liberty to interpret any directions in my own light). The rules for this AG II are as follows:
1) This is an anarchy game. That means that you tell me what to do.
2) What we do is on a first-come first-served basis. You are not allowed to contradict anyone else, but you are allowed to take your orders back.
3) I will only follow instructions that can be carried out in the present. This means that I will also ignore any "When in a war with America, use nukes." or "Beeline to Communism."
4) For research, I will accept only one tech in advance. So suppose we are researching Pottery, then Animal Husbandry. After Pottery is done, I ask for a new tech to research.
5) For diplomacy, we have three attitudes: be nice, mean, or wait. The 'wait' attitude is more of a transition stage. Each attitude lasts at least 5 turns after it has been first enacted, and from there on out, I accept any change of attitude provided that we do not go from nice to mean or vice versa. As a result, you must wait a minimum of 10 turns to go from being 'nice' to being 'mean'. Just make sure to count the turns! If anyone asks, I'll give the year, but otherwise, you have to figure it out yourself. (updated 12/28/05)
6) For war, we must be in the 'mean' attitude. Likewise, we won't accept open borders if we are in the 'mean' attitude and I'll let you decide if we're still waiting. I'll let you decide any time we want a mutual protection pact, but we must be 'nice' toward that civ.
7) No disbanding of units orders will be accepted. (updated 12/28/05)
8) No renaming, but when we build stuff, I will ask for a name.
9) I'll try to post screenshots about every other turn or of important developments. We'll see.
10) I will try to play about this time every day for maybe a week. It might thin out as Christmas Break ends. I might end up handing it off to someone else.
For the beginning settings, we're using Play Now, and we're going on Warlord to make it easier. Here's what we need to decide:
Map
Climate
Sealevel
Size
Civ/Leader
Game Speed
Since these are important for the rest of the game, each one of you can only choose one. If there are any left, I choose them. You have 24 hours.
