A 166 by 304 map of the eastern United States with historical
settlements circa 1775. Also includes south eastern parts of
Canada and some of the Carribean (Cuba & Haiti).

Civs included are:
The Colonies
Great Britain
The Iroquois Confederation
Spain
France

Would be suitable for an American revolution or 1812 scenario.

Note: The western portions of the map are incomplete, feel free to
modify or improve the map as you see fit.

Wow! This is a cool map.
I was making a map very similar to this a long time ago, but I never completed it. I guess now I don't have to.

Nice work.

I actually need a map like this for the Revolutionary War scenario I'm considering but at twice the size of the Huge map in Civ it would be, frankly way too big. This size is pretty frustrating when it comes to later game turn times for anyone with even a partly slow computer. :( You would probably need at least 16 civs just for the balance to work out fairly well (excepting workarounds such as predetermined "ideal city locations" (only tile allowing cities))

AgainstThe Flow:
The map was designed mostly with multi-player games in mind.

For example:
I was thinking of a Saratoga campaign scenario for multi-player.
Three British commanders, one for the New York force, one for
the Montreal force and a third for the Oswego force (which never
really got started). One American player and perhaps one more
for the Iroquois. For that kind of thing you need a big map with
lots of rough terrain and harzards (i.e. barbarians) along the way.

That would be a very interesting multi-player game. You could even split the Colonials into 2 different forces. What would add an interesting addition would be to somehow have the ability to reach the Great Lakes from the Atlantic making that area a naval battleground. Also the map is large enough to make the major rivers navigable for additional barriers to cross.

By the thread title, I thought that this was going to be about Battlestar Galactica.

But still a very nice map.
