The Town
Freeman Spur is a small town tucked away in the mountains of West Virginia. Characters are either residents of the town, or just passing through. The game begins 30 May 2014.
The goal of the game? It depends on how you want to play.

Character Name:
Gender:
Age:
Occupation:
Backstory: This is required. You cannot play without a decent backstory.
Primary Stats
You can’t determine your exact stats. Instead, you are given “roll” points. For each stat, I will roll a 1D6. You have 12 points to use. Each point means another roll of a 1D6, which is added to previous rolls for that stat.
Strength: This is how much muscle your character brings to the table.
Constitution: This is how tough your character is. Affects your resistance to diseases and poison, as well as HP.
Dexterity: This is how quick and agile your character is. Affects the battle order, and your ability to use weaponry (ranged and melee).
Appearance: This is how appealing and charming your character is to others.
Intelligence: How cunning you are.
Power: This stat represents willpower and mental stability, and ability to use magic.
Secondary Stats
Idea: INT x 5. Represents your character’s ability to make deductive leaps and to solve difficult problems.
Luck: POW x 5. Sheer luck.
Hit Points: CON x 2. If HP falls below two, your character will fall unconscious. If it drops below 0, your character will die at the end of the next combat round.
Magic Points: = POW. Casting spells costs MP. If MP falls to 0, your character falls unconscious.
Sanity: POW x 5. Represents your ability to remain sane. Falling to 0 is bad.
Inventory: What are you carrying your person at the beginning of the game.
Magic
Nothing is free, and that goes for magic. All characters will have some magical ability. However, to use magical spells requires learning new spells, or creating spells.
All spells have a cost, however. Besides draining magic, many spells hurt one’s sanity. Some spells are so powerful that multiple characters are required to cast them. All in all, magic isn’t something a character with low POW should resort to solve every problem.
