A bunch of intelligible textbook info:

Apes are Old World anthropoid mammals, more specifically a clade of tailless catarrhine primates, belonging to the biological superfamily Hominoidea. The apes are native to Africa and South-east Asia. Apes are the largest primates and the orangutan, an ape, is the largest living arboreal animal. Hominoids are traditionally forest dwellers, although chimpanzees may range into savanna, and the extinct australopithecines were likely also savanna inhabitants, inferred from their morphology. Humans inhabit almost every terrestrial habitat.

Enough getting into the mood. Blurt out your highly considered ramblings already. And don't forget to vote!

First vote :D

I voted for: "Yes, for i am an image of God" :)

But Orangutans (Orangutangoi?) are very cool too:

I recall once of them in the zoo in Munich. I was 13 at the time, i think. It did seem to be more intelligent than most of the tourists feeding it ;)
I suppose that i would not mind some kinds of apes being pets instead of cats and dogs. It seems fairly reasonable that they can be trained much more easily and to a very larger extent :)

Define "worth". And from what perspective.

Am I worth more than an ape to the ape's ... apelings, then no.

Well I am an ape, so I'd say yes, I am worth as much as myself.

I believe I have implicitly done so by offering options to base worth on.
Not sure how that works, but I can tell you don't care to go into it.

Oh well, no fun for Ziggy I suppose.
The one you have chosen by your poll choice.
Not having picked one, still no fun for Ziggy. :(
Via the power of quotation I am now the uber-Ziggy!
No fun for you then :)

Not sure how that works
No bother, I'll demonstrate:

Yes, for I am an image of GOD.
You believe worth to be determined by divine rule.

Yes, for I can reason (more complexly).
You believe worth to be determined by the ability to take on responsibility.

Yes, for I enjoy ape meat more than they enjoy human meat.
You believe worth to be determined by how much joy one gains by eating other species in relation to those species.

No, for I am just another creation of feeling life.
You believe worth to be an intrinsic constant to sentience.

No, for I am just another creation of feeling life.
You believe worth to be an intrinsic constant to life.

No, for some reason I'll have to spell out myself.
You have a standard of worth not captured by the poll.

What most of those notions share is the notion of a general universal idea of worth (or standard of worth). This idea may or may not be further modified by further conditional ideas of worth. The poll is either about an absolute general idea or a general idea that merely severs as a universal basis for further conditional ideas. In either case - a supreme rule emerges which can be applied to the pole.
Unless you are a nihilist. Which is also a poll option.
Or you have a rather special idea of worth. Which is also captured by the poll.

Did I make you a bit more jolly dear Ziggy?

Thanks for the effort, appreciate it.

I have loads of ideas about worth. Not just one. That's the barrier I'm walking into.

This is probably overthinking it by a mile, therefore: I'm worth as much as an ape since we both are so inferior to Stephen Fry, the difference is too close to call (worth determined by divinity)

No, for I have a nihilist notion of worth and reject worth as such.

Lol.

This is OT. Who am I to discourage someone to turn a specific discussion into a discussion of definition.

So to make a start, here is one definition of worth which - I believe - very much fits the poll:
The idea that a being and/or entity is for its natural properties justified in deserving the same degree of consideration as any being/entity of equal properties.
