I'm still surprised that the barbarians still can be blocked out of areas with a wall of troops....

wall0000.jpg

The wall goes from North to South (and see Explorers ARE useful), and this wall directs the barbarians (raging level), to hed east and SE to bother the English and Germans. I am surprised I can still get away with it, and it is funny in a way to give the AIs fits of barbarians....

I would have thought by now someone at Firaxis would have caught this quirk by now....Jason

The unit cost isnt worth it! ;)

Added to that, you need to put your difficulty level up a LOT!! :D

Yeah I know!!

I'm still trying to "learn" this expansion, so I am at Warlord level...

So many idle units and crap cities, thats why you have all sliders at 0 % and still got -21 gold per turn. If you build military units, you have to use them.

look at the map again man... he has at least 70% of the world under his control, and the other 30% is his vassel (OK, maybe 20%, as the other 10% is useless artictic land and 1 unvessaled civ). He owns this game. He could demand technologies off of his vassels, or exploit the numerous vassels/cities he has to easily keep himself in the lead. He's won.

(Though since he has all of this before Engineering... ummm...)

lol how is this game even possible?.....worldbuilder right?

i mean...even for warlord...it's 380 turns in and he's got 50ish cities!! how do u even account for creating that many settlers?

all the while his 10 opponents are still researching tier 2 techs lol

I thought it was obviously a WB game.... but I didn't want to say it! :D

Not that it matters, but if you are learning as you say Jabarten, you'll learn quicker without using the WB. :)

By conquering 6 neighbors and keeping their cities....

WB was NOT used. I understand that it seems kind of large, but many of these starting spots for AIs grow awfully quick, and I just keep pouring out the settlers, and using slavery...

Path denial is alive in BTS? I thinked that this was fixed a long time ago.... In Vanilla we could do the same with regular AI ( they try to to define a path of attack to our cities, they can't because it stumbles in a non passable tile ( at least until they attack the units ) and they don't even try ( except for a naval invasion)). I wonder if it still applies in BTS....

You're also 2 turns away from losing all your troops - can you explain that one?

Noone minds if you want to use WB, but be fair and admit it too! :D

You could of course supply a save game if you insist that it is unWB'ed.... it would be easy to spot.

yeah sorry but things simply dont add up....the military built-up required to conquer that number of cities is even more unlikely as building 40ish settler....especially in light of the huge tech differential.....if your cities had done nothing but pump out troops, or settlers, i can't fathom a way you'd have the tech lead...especially not such a pronounced one

what kind of settings are you playing with?

True ... didnt see the mini map. World builder rules ! LOL.

thats impossible.. u have 70% of the world under you in just 382 turns.. and alot of primative tech is on research on most nations.

and ur reseach turns to ur tech is.. 3147!????

whats going on.. lol

How come he can have that many cities, most of them probably without courthouses and I he probably hasn't FB nor Versailles either, and still ONLY lose 21 gold/turn?

Not to mention that of the cities that can be seen there is nary a tile improvement to be seen :)
