Eagerly anticipating it too, still need to finish the first one though (I'm at a point where I don't have any quests that tell me where I am supposed to get these things... and one of them that I know the damn creatures don't drop what I need!).

The story is said to be continued right after where it stopped in the first part, so probably yes. Even a possibility to import save was mentioned somewhere - your allegiances in the first game would affect attitudes of other towards you in the second.

Disregarding that, why would anyone not want to complete the first at least twice?
