The World of 200 BC - Scenario

a suggestion to the screen above. Why don't you move babylon a bit south, rename it Seleukia and move dura europos a tile southeast, rename it babylon? this would be a bit more accurate and don't change much... :)

to city improvements, it is difficult to find things which are ok for every civ on the world. e.g. in the mediterranean, the 'agora' is a good stylish example, but then, they would also build 'agoras' in china and in the olmec state. So that's not a good idea, we just have to rename it to 'marketplace' which I find a bit boring. :)
so waht do you want?

Then to the seven wonders, you have them included, haven't you? If you do this I would suggest to expand the number a bit. Because for example the great wall would have been called one of the wonders, IF the greeks had known it...

mfG mitsho

Wow thats quite excellent, thanks alot Mongoloid Cow, and thankyou alsoi mitsho. I think I will make Mongoloid cows changes for the most part, though.

I know what you mean mitsho, thats the dilema I'm currently facing. I think what I might make a resource like "greco roman", "asia minor", "africa", "asia", "americas" and require those resources for certain buildings (i.e. - the Agora requires the greco roman resource)... It currently seems to be the best option, if I want specialized buildings. What do you guys think?

This is a LOT late, but have you considered a distorted map? That is, one that eliminates excess space and focuses on key details (i.e. Rhye but a little better)? The mediterranean is really small here, and you have tons of dead tundra, etc, you'll never use. An example right here from Sleepy's Mod which is only a 180x180 world map

Alright, I got some motivation and compiled a list of the UU's so far (see first post). I currently have them listed, downloaded, and accredited. *Note - If you see one of your units here and you would like me to take it out, please do not hesitate to ask*

I need some help now with finding UUs for the remaining ISOs. :) Thanks alot guys!

It's up to Vsaiyan whether they're included or not (the phalanx is probably more important in a general sense anyway) - but that they existed at the time isn't exactly in question nor that they formed an elite. They weren't armed in Roman fashion til sometime after 190 B.C. by the way, and there is some question on exact equipment before then but Krytens unit is too nice a flavor unit NOT to use for them if they're included ;) .

"...the royal guard; they were called argyraspides ('Silver Shields') from the nature of their equipment." Battle of Magnesia, 190 B.C. Livy XXXVII.40

Actually there were a lot of 'imitaion' legionaries, they might be included too as slightly weaker versions of the legion without the ability to build roads, forts, etc.

Oops, missed that last post while reading Livy  .

I think that'd be fine. You could use those, or even use the regular legion for one or both of them (since it matches the ancient cavalry so nicely - I don't know who you're giving that one to though) and use Kinboat's legion for Rome unless you're using that one as an upgrade to the legion itself. I'd use them as you suggest if you do use both.

I can't find that argyraspides unit (silver shields one) if you could provide a link, it would be most appreciated. I'm going to use those legion units as I said before, most likely. And if you can provide me with the link to that silver shield swordsman unit, than I might include that for the Seleucids, instead of a Greek unit...
