Please send a copy of your work to me at tcwonder@adelphia.net and I'll see how that works with the crash research I have been doing. Namelength may be the Folke Wulfe problem.
 
I agree with Tcwonder... it is probably name lenght that makes the game crash in that case.

Anyway, I'm working on the Mod's site. Once it's finished I hope we Really can get started on version 4.
 
I finally was able to start a game and play this mod for awhile and it is really good, except for the crashes of course. I have no idea why I crash, but that's ok. Do you have any idea when an updated version will be released?

I think I have located the Luftwaffe focke Wulf 190 crash. There seems to be an extra space in the end of 190 (Luftwaffe focke wulf 190 ). When I deleted the extra space from the bic file it works great but only if I start a new game, so my old saves wont work :(

Does anyone know if there is someway to fix this, maybe some program that will import the rules from the bic to my saves

At last! man this mod rocks! I just got my first Luftwaffe focke Wulf 190 produced!! :D

sorry bout that last stupid question in my last reply (must rank high on the worlds most stupid question)...Of course I just change the ini file so it ends with an extra space (luftwaffe focke wulf 190 .ini) and it works for me!

I leave you know for some weeks, it's wartime in europe!! haha
 
I was just wondering what you plan to do with colonies of the main powers in your scenario. At first I was thinking you could just put a map of Europe and Northern Africa in, but to include Japan, America and Russia you'll need the entire northern hemisphere, so at that point you might as well put in the whole world.

The problem I have with the whole world map is that countries like Britain would be restricted to a very small island. If you look at Marla Singer's world map, there is barely room for 5 or 6 very closely spaced towns, 7 or 8 if you include Ireland. I suggest you can solve this by including colonies and subject nations to the superpowers' control. America and Russia do not have this land problem, but the European countries and Japan do. Rather than making Canada and Australia independent nations, they could be added as part of the British Empire to firstly give them more room, and secondly they could have bases at various spots around the world which would make battles more interesting.
Even though Canada wasn't actually controlled by Britain anymore, it would make things more interesting. Ethiopia could be added to Italy, etc. until each of the powers has a good enough piece of land. Otherwise America and Russia would be overly dominant civs.
 
BINGO! You found what I did. We are in the process of checking spellings and spacings in the original product. Similar problem of having a space in the line (seen as carriage return) of names provided for civilizations may be causing the crashes where cities were being built. So far I have eliminated all of those in my testing. One way to be sure is to make sure that there are at least 16 city names provided in the starting module. Firaxis doesn't know if it could be a problem, because a minimum number was not checked for. There may be an error in the program may have a problem with less than 16 (or the active number if civilizations in the active game). Make some up if you are playing a questionable Civ.
 
I cant find words for my frustration!!! a new crash, damit!.

I have just researched Automobile so it could be something wrong with the Jeep (I saw that it's able to transport units, is this really possibe with a land unit and plus it has all as road) or maybe it has something to do with the change of era. I have not done any checks, but it probobly has something to do with this.

It was the Brittish Destroyer that caused my crash, could you plz post what more units that where defect?

by the way did you get that focke working?

Damn... I seemed to have missed alot of em.

I haven't got that Focke working yet I read you post about editing the bic file but I've never done that. I can handle ini files but not bic's.

Below is the text file of what found a lot of what I found is duplicate files but there is some relevant files. One thing I found whenI got the british destroyer working the picture for it comes up as a hurricane or spitfire any idea why??

That should make it work, but I noticed one problem. The Finnish Tanks wont work if you did´nt change them in the BIC file before you started your game. They are set as Cheqz in the bic, so if you have not done that, then you should Rename all finnísh tank folders and ini files to Cheqz.

Thats weird, the brittish destroyer works for me and the bic file is set to the Destroyer image and the ini seems to be wrigth.The

FIX focke problem!
Rename the Focke ini to "Luftwaffe Fokke Wulf 190 .ini" IMPORTENT notice the extra space after 190. You do not change the folder because you cant and it will work anyway.

This sounds like you are in a Mobilization economy. You can only build military units and improvements when you are Mobilized.

I just write this text file to help them who game crash. Usually the problem is on the units files. If you do like it read in the text file your game should start to work properly. I did make the text file on .doc, but I did copy it in .rtf also. So that you who havent a Microsoft Word in your computer can still read it.

All units work, but there is some units that arent found in the game.
