the other one is simply a picture of a single Hindu God (i think, the pic is so small I couldn't even make it out...) the posted pic is universally accepted as the icon of Hinduism (as there are also monothiestic and athiestic sects to the religion that don't use the "polytheism")Chieftess said:I couldn't even tell that's the symbol for Hinduism... The other one looks more familar...
They put a picture of a Hindu god (ganesha I believe, the pic I saw was way to small for me to recognize, does any one have a large version of it?) as the Hindu symbol rather than using the universal Hindu om.The_Architect said:What's wrong with this symbol?
I am not getting it. Someone please help..
Swastika for Hinduism.
No its far too touchy of a symbol, which is a shame since its actually one of my favouite ancient symbols because of its symmetry and form, so perfect.Sucha_Soorma said:I'm not sure that using the swastica is such a bad idea, as Hinduism does cover rather a large ground, and is more akin to a tree with many branches than a high rise building with only one direction.
