This has got to be some kind of record

With that bay below you have a whole lot of oceantiles that won't do much for your citygrowth later in the game. Not a single fish to justify your placement. If it was me, I would have settled on the other side of the mountain, and leave fleetbuilding to another city.

Edit: On your second screenshot, you can tell you'd have gotten another cow, 2 more sheep and horses within your cityrange, making for a pretty darn good 6-hammer stables. But this is in retrospect of course.

That's a very good point, and even without the knowledge of those other resources to the west, I probably should have done just that. I have a very strong propensity for settling in place; I rarely move my Settler before founding my first city. Might be something I want to consider more often.
