In my mind, if you attribute something falsely to our God, whether you believe in him or not,

The reality seems to be that people claim just about anything about their gods, including the Christian job p). People say their gods love/hate A, love/hate B, support/oppose C, and so on. Then some theists will come along and call others "not true _____s" for hating/loving A, loving/hating B, etc.

By your definition, does this mean, TO YOU, that people who claim things about Yahweh that you don't believe are true of Yahweh are committing blasphemy, in your opinion?

I think theistic Satanists (Satanists who actually worship Satanism, rather than that generic pleasure-seeking thing that is Atheistic Satanism) are absolutely doing this, but that's not really the only definition....

My token knowledge of Satanists is that they hold Lucifer as the real player in the game, and Yahweh as secondary, just as Christians hold Yahweh as the real player and Lucifer as secondary. I've never heard of atheistic Satanists... what you describe simply sounds like hedonism.

However, you are also blaspheming if you are in denial of what you deep down know is true.

I dislike assertions that "deep down you know ____ is true".
