This is my boomstick!!!!

ok got it. A cat toying with roosevelt and hatty round + alot of infastructure and some navy. Should be fun!

ok so i played.

Not the most thoughtful round but we are somewhat on autopilot.

I wiped out Hatty.

Teched combustion, biology, physics, and most of flight. I would finish flight, tech artillery, and then upgrade all our ould experienced army.

Roosy is holed up in a single city which is under siege, we could wipe him right now but then would have to declare on Brennus.

Built pentagon.

Built alot of hammer buildings and some health.

Founded Hindu Shrine.

We are picking up steam :D and we got the hindu shrine and the pentagon. Lets get ready to INVADE!!!!! Our economy should be back in order now and we could go 10 turns of full money soon to upgrade it all. Will have a look at the save later. Great turnset Cree.

Nice work, and very pleased that we popped that Prophet. :goodjob:

Civics require review. We require two :gp: for a Golden Age, so that :gp: out of Torquay unfortunately won't do it alone, so we'll just have to endure three turns of Anarchy or wait for Kyoto (req. specialists to increase the :gp: rate) or Timbuktu to pop another. I can see either Universal Suffrage or Police State, and either Organised Religion or Theocracy working for us.

I'm pleased to see Courthouses going up. I think that when Mining Inc. is spread into cities missing a Courthouse such as; Trezibond, Djenne, Timbuktu, Shimonoseki, and Walata, that Courthouses probably should be dialed up immediately after if not before. London would benefit from one, and after Kumbi Saleh gets up the Market, Grocer, and Wall Street, it too would benefit from one.

Looking forward to getting that invasion force together also, but spamming Mining Inc. to all of our cities would be tremendously beneficial, as we've still got two-thirds of our cities to go.

About the courthouses do not forget to insert one in the capital. London DOES NOT have a courthouse yet :p

Canterbury should grow like mad. Just get public transport up and let it grow.

Get a mining exec to Kyoto asap and build levee/conf/hindu temple/maybe even mandir. We need some cultural pressure over there.

We are still at war with Bismarck. Maybe it is time to get some peace with this dude since he is sitting on a load of money. He has 24 gpt to spare.

PPP imho:
1) Get as much executives around the land.
2) Build infra in Kumbai like mad. Factory first if you ask me. Universal suffrage and OR would be great for this too. Rushbuying stuff in Kumbai Saleh, yes pls.
3) Switch priests to merchants maybe to try to get sushi? If we get a GP then York is still without a shrine (10 cities at least).

Roster:
Woop (Up)
Killroy (on deck)
Cam_H
Cree (just played)

the BIG Question in my mind is:

1)Keep Roosevelt Alive and invade Bismark with current Diplo

versus

2)Wipe Roosey and Declare on Brennus then invade the other continent.

My vote goes to getting rid of Roosevelt and declaring war on Brennus. Ideally it'll be a fake war for a while at least, and when we get our invasion force in a position to strike against Bismark, we can make peace and tackle Bismark-Ragnar without having to watch Brennus as well.

To me; spread Mining Inc. by getting every city that has it now to build two Executives immediately or near-immediately plus a few extra to cover every city. West coast cities get up Destroyers and Transports, while every other city spams Infantry, siege, and a few Machine Guns for stack protection. Courthouses, as noted, are a relatively quick build in the few cities that don't have them once they get the :hammers: from Mining Inc. I think that with more time we could get Factories and Coal Plants up everywhere, but these builds are costly and we could be building units there instead. We can start running Spy specialists in Kyoto, so that we can initiate a Golden Age with Torquay's pending :gp: fairly soon, and swap our civics - plus the extra commerce and production couldn't come at a better time. I'm not really sure that we need Flight or Artillery, but given we've already made progress in Flight, I won't object to us eventually getting both. I'd probably swap to Artillery now if we are to keep pushing further into the technology tree, and finish off Flight after that. While Sid's Sushi is a tremendously powerful corporation (especially when spread to newly captured cities), I just don't think that we have time to go out of our way to found it and spread it. If we pop a Great Merchant out of Timbuktu as a consequence of the Golden Age, then 'yes'. Kumbi Saleh is the exception to all of this, and it should get up the :gold: multipliers and a Courthouse.

Two cents. :)

Remember with Roosevelt gone we have to declare on the whole other continent. That is Brennus, Bismarck and his vassal. I would use 1 turnset of hard infra building and then maybe wiping out Roosevelt and then invade the other continent.

I recommend we check what Bismark's terms for peace are. If they are reasonable: Wipe Roosey, DOW Brennus, Peace Bismark. We can then phony war with Brenus for a bit and then either attack him or make peace and Redeclare Bismark. Basically we need a bit of time to get our military ready to invade, The game is better for us without Roosy, and is Brennus really that scarry?

How far to tech and what tech goals to make depend on how long/Hard we estimate that it will be to conquer the other continent. Infantry are just about to show up over there, I would want a bit more of an miltary edge and would tech as I outlined.

But overall I agree with Cam's basic premise; turn the focus very soon toward the end game wars.

I would rather have Industrialism over Medicine so I do not vote for a SIDS pursuit. Basicaly I would only Tech military the rest of the game, and would likley turn off tech for quite awhile to amass gold for upgrades.

Lets win the game. We do not even have a GM yet :p So lets get industrialism which also will power mining corp. Kill of Roosevelt. Declare war on the other continent and make peace with Bismarck. I knew I should have written the rules more specific about staying at war the whole time with everybody :p

BTW about the canons and combat upgrades

Spoiler :

I guess my laptop has a strange version of the game (patch to 3.19 and bug installed :p)

Didn't realise I was up so this is a "Got it"!

I vote for removing that final city and DoW-ing Brennus. Get the troops together and 100% gold for a couple turns to get some coin to upgrade any legacy units. I can have a deeper look later and post something more in-depth if required...

Killroyan, Cannon 25 is residing in Angora and has 5XP to 'spend'. The only promotions that I can give it are; City Raider, Drill, and Barrage.

Woopdeedoo, we will also need :gold: to spread Mining Inc. into cities.

@Cam, Yeah I know, that is why I said my laptop has a screwy version somehow. On my normal comp I can only give the canons the same promotions as you can but on my laptop combat is all of a sudden available. I think it has something to do with the BUG-version. More things are not right. The screenshot is from an emperor game with Ghandi. I can only play successions games on my normal comp because of the strange version on my laptop.

Woop, good to know you have got it :) Mining corp has to be spread like mad. Go for a quick round of infra with mining to get everything in place. Upgrading is not even necessary at this point yet. But we do need destroyers and transporters like mad. Destroyers are particulary nice since they will send some ships soon. Keep your eyes open for them if they come.

Bismark landed one mini stack on our Western shore northwest of london. I only whiped it out last few turns. Likely another navel stack incoming.

So before hitting enter, I decide to use the little stack at my disposal and take the last of Roosevelt's cities:

As per variant:

LOL:

And then the TS begins...

Destroyers, transports, mining execs all get built everywhere but we have a nasty event:
capture4nl.png

I save the factory...

Around my second turn, we get another event:

We don't need the extra culture and we need whatever cash we can spare.

Mining Inc is spreading well and I am a few turns in but I need to go fetch my sibling atm so will continue this later...

Woop up the save Woop :P

I can say that I'm generally pleased with Yokohama's buildings other than the lack of a Courthouse, Barracks, and Forge! :) "Yay" for free Drydocks!
