I am not to strong making a barracks in Jaiper. Use it to make wokers or settlers for now. You have one city near it with a barracks and another building one and it has two rows of tiles that stop all units, so it is safe and too far away and small to aid anyone.

I said I was not an experienced player on small maps, but with close contact and sure to have wars, I would not want my cities spaced out that far apart. They cannot protect each.
 
As I had mentioned, I would prefer to go kill someone in a small map. This means I do not want to learn banking and go afer Adams. Let them build it for me.

Head for calvs and smash them. Use those elephants while they are still of some use.

My galleys have revelaed a giant land on the left down side of the map. Should I try to grab it?
 
Well I hit home in both saves. The first one send me to Moscow. The second one to Delhi. I do not know what to make of that, except It is the other guys turn.

I played in a PBEM game and we had a password, so you could not play any turn, but the one you had the PW for.

I could not even see all of the Russian cities form the save I down loaded.
 
So Forgive me if I have given outg info I should not have. I thought maybe you were playing more than one civ in this game.
 
As to the other island, I would prefer to take land from my neighbors. If you see some key resource there, that may make it worthwhile.
 
As I entioned before, as small map with several civs on your landmass, needs aggression. In an MP game, you must get contacts and be prepared to bribe the AI civs to harrass your human player(s).

Make deals with them to lock the player out of trade and research. Get alliances to attack him. Do not let him have that warrior observing your lands. Get a harrassment crew out to damage him. Rip up roads, kill workers anything to slow him down.

Make gifts to his enemies to keep them strong enough to do damage.
 
If you are not ready yet, just quit. that'll be the only way out when you suddenly find yourself in a unwanted war, especially in the early stage. even if you keep playing and finally manage to catch up, it will be too energy consuming to have real fun in the game.
 
It is an MP game and quitng is weak. May as well get in and learn as much as you can. If you go down, make it as hard as you can.

I should mention that starting as Russia you really should have learned all the land on your land mass by now. I would have gotten out some scouts and made contact, hit those huts.

You can get a well timed GA out of those Cossacks and they have blitz, so you can really make the others pay. It would be easier if you have made a bunch of horses and upgrade to knights and then calvs.

the proble with my friend is that we are like allies.... research together, go to war together.
and the only resources I had on my land are 3 irons, so I just just got horses, and i checkedand there are NO future land whatsoever on my land.
no coal. no oil.......
 
Just for fun, asked for peace, they gave it, then declared war again =D
i wish computers would be able to take rep hits :)
