Hey, I just finished a game on emperor with Sweden, and I have to say, I'm pretty impressed. When I first saw them, I wrote them off as a fairly terrible civ, given their UA. However, after playing as them, I've come to like them quite a bit. They are a very powerful late game civ, and if played correctly make a diplomatic victory fairly easy.

Tradition, with a cultural>science focus, gave me insane border growth. 5-6 tile growth out of my capitol. I lead the demographics chart in land throughout most of the game, only getting passed up when my friend, as mongolia, started his campaign against the world. The UA is actually useful, if you build up a large population (allowing specialist focus), and make a lot of declarations of friendship. In all, I was quite pleased with the civ.
So, what are your thoughts on Sweden? I'm still letting the game digest a bit; I finished last night.
