Tila Tequila finally finds her true love

I liked the way "she" trotted out the old line about Hitler extending the hand of peace to Britain.

As far as I understand it, he did indeed. And the BBC, without consulting anyone at all, immediately rejected his "offer", on air. Which both infuriated and baffled him. (Which is very strange, considering his recent and extensive history of duplicity and outright lying.)

Churchill officially said he would be only too happy to talk peace terms... after German forces had withdrawn from Norway, Denmark, Holland, Belgium, France, Poland, Czechoslovakia, and Austria.

I think Churchill was being uncharacteristically reasonable.

Still, as my information comes via William Shirer, it may well be faulty. And then there's me, of course; another source of unreliability.

That peace offer means nothing in moral terms or in terms of good will. Hitler was obviously just wanting to get rid of G.B. (and more importantly, America) to focus on Russia. He could always finish the English later on.

Wasn't it more just G.B.? I was under the impression that Hitler didn't actually think all that much of the mongrel nation across the ocean.

It's possible Hitler underestimated America (I'm not that familiar with WOII history) but Great Britain was managing to keep on fighting partially by American support, so technically they were already fighting Nazi Germany.

I'm a little on the tired side, can you rephrase that please?

She's really talking about herself more than she's talking about Hitler or anything else.
