I've got bad news

My computer died yesterday when playing... and I couldn't turn it on since then :( please, skip me this time... too bad I can't play from my work...

That sucks Slibluhr. Hope you can get it back up and running.
 
I'm about to cry! My brand new GeForce melted with the motherboard killing the proc in the meantime... USD 300 because this barbarian state where I live has a strange energy system, it was the fault of a 335V peak! it also fried my microwave oven and the UPS of a friend...

I'm now suffering from withdrawal symptoms because of the lack of RFC...
 
Duh? I had left it in my other pants... What's a power bar? some kind of cereal?

If it's intended to measure the voltage of the electricity, 335V was the limit at which the ups burnt... however the 9-Series was more photogenic (if that word exists in English): It was curved down with white foam and a brown-yellowish greassy substance...

I'll try to find a computer to play civ, but I don't think that I can repair the mess before mansa DoWs you :(
 
Some power bars come with surge suppressors, meaning it will shut down when it reaches at certain voltage. It's supposed to prevent frying but I don't know for sure.

MM DoWing us might take a while now that they're all busy fighting each other :S
 
Okies played out 10 turns but I am not great at writing reports.

National Epic is now 1 turn off and I have started on preserves. I have built wealth in 3 cities and we will have biology in 12 or so turns. national park to follow.

Hermitage is yet to be started.

I traded SM for constitution to Yellow Mansa? Then again for military tech.MT i think.

I then traded Chemistry for corporation and DR the following turns to black mansa and red?

Overall not much really top report. One of the mansa is now at peace.

Looks like a good round. I'd farm over Cow-misser's cottages to let it grow.

Instead of wealth we need to spread Judaism to Useless Temples (which should cancel its queue and make Temples after the granary). We also got some health issues (grocers) and could use a few Jails for more :espionage: if we're ever going to want to use it against Peach MM.

Think we can revolt to FS, it shouldn't make a big difference on research but would add some more culture.

I think we can play longer turnsets since it'll be a lot of Shift+Enter from now on...

So I'm up right? I can't look at the save now, will have to dl it when I get home from work. In the meantime, I am guessing I will just continue to build culture buildings in our three cities and maintain what we have. Do we have many / any spies? Should I focus any production on them at all? We may need them to destroy production on the Mansas that are ahead.

We need 3 more Hindu temples for the last Hindu Mandir: Frosty, Yayoi (Moai could go here), Useless Temples

The other good news is buddhism has spread to 2 cities. Use OR to spread it to the other cities, build temples everywhere and then build the Stupas in the 3 cities.

I'd go ahead and revolt to Caste+REP now and later Pacifism as soon as we're done spreading Buddhism.

BTW, Pig Farm should be running Artists, not a priest and engineer. Check cities when they grow so we don't get jinxed with spy specialists instead of artists.

Lolco should get the Hermitage next, and queue the Jewish Synagogue afterwards (fast now that we've got stone).

Every city but the 3 culture ones should focus on :hammers: improvements so we can keep the slider at 100% by building :gold: in those cities!

Adjust the EP slider so we see Black and Red MM's demographics again. Should take 1 or 2 turns at most. Refocus on peach or whoever after.

To slow blue MM, I'd do the following, and maybe add anymore you can. A dogpile should take care of any attempt he makes at culture.

We can trade for Rifling+Astronomy too with Orange MM, I think I'd take the deal.

Check resource deals, maybe we can get a few more gpt.

Guess it's time to raise the :culture: slider.

Lastly, for the Great Artists, do the math for settling vs. bombing.

Bomb = 4000:culture:
settling = 12:culture:*:culture:modifiers*number of turns to legendary i.e. ((50 000-current culture)/current culture rate)

For example, if Horice was our worst culture city:
12*200%*(50,000-1955)/240 = 4804.5 > 4000 so settle. (done with slider at 100% and some tile changes)

We should have enough :) to defy any UN resolutions to take us out of Caste+REP+Pacifism later on.

What should we do in the case of a GE/GM popping? Creative Constructions/Sid's Sushi could be options but they require Medicine and Combustion... I suppose we could always steal them from Peach MM.

Pleased MM is unlikely to DoW us, with a 90% override. We can always whip/draft Rifles in emergency.
Keeping them in a war is also a good solution. Notice we don't have any Worst Enemy anymore due to Free Religion.

Looks good :goodjob:, don't know how you actually managed to spread Buddhism so well, it always seem to fail for me in my games!

A few things I don't get :confused:

What exactly did researching Physics give us? If anything researching Communism for the extra :food: might have been acceptable but Physics did nothing for our Culture... plus we don't even have access to Uranium before Fission!
Some tile improvements puzzle me...
Focus and stick to the city's specialization.
Will someone finally farm/workshop over Cow-misser?
Spear'D doesn't need a plains cottage!
Yayoi - why is it working so many Scientists? We don't need or want research, even less a GS! In the same line of thought, why are Universities/Observatories being built in :hammers: cities when we don't want to use the science slider anymore???
Custom Houses are some of the worst hammer-wise poor investments. Useless Temples could certainly use a Buddhist temple before that. :Commerce: does -nothing- to help build wealth.

I guess my settling GAs wasn't really clear... I used Horice as an example for the maths... you need to settle it in the lagging city, not the leading one. ->Pigfarm is the lagger here.

Lolco: reassign tiles for more food and work the dye.
Horice: work the farms to grow

I think Peach Mansa could use Rifling to help his fight against blue Mansa. In any case, war doesn't seem to be affecting Blue MM too much.

Horice and Lolco need to grow grow grow before working artists specialists!
I think farming over Teno's iron so we can farm pigfarm's 2 grasslands (can't be bothered to wait anymore) would be better now.

Reassign the EP weight so we can actually steal something from someone. Orange looks like a good candidate. Our steal rate is about 45% the original price >>> researching ourselves. Other option is to focus on Blue MM and start sabotaging his stuff/revolting cities (sabotage a Security bureau first if it's there).

I'd also add Security Bureaus to the 3 Culture cities once they're done with the Cathedrals (then build culture).

Revolt -> Pacifism and turn slider up to 100%

We should still win as Blue MM's last city will lag behind our worst if we manage things properly.
