Personally, I'd rather face the A's since we have owned them lately.
No one really scares me of the postseason crowd, but any of them could probably win it all if they got on a roll.

If "we" play the A's it will take 5 games, like the last two times. (At least I think it was the last two times)
EDIT: I just realized that I won't be able to watch any of the games this weekend, due to the Yankee having their private channel!
It should be on a national channel or something though...

If the Sox win the Wild Card they'll probably face the Twins and Santana. If they win the division, it's the winner of the west.

AFAIK, ESPN is carrying the Friday and Sunday games.

What is wrong with Francona? Didn't he see Game 7 last year? A quick recap: Pedro stays into the eigth, gives up important hits, the Yankees go on to win. Yeah, that's a recap of last year AND tonight!
Now the division is lost, for all intents and purposes. Guess it's time to start resting guys up for the playoffs. Right now, the wild card team goes to Minnesota, where Santana has been tearing up everyone.
Funny, now I'm suddenly rooting for the A's so we can face them instead....

santana may be tearing everyone up, but remeber, its a five game series, and he will be up against schilling. ill take the red sox offense against santana over the twins offense against schilling any day of the week. no matter what the season records may be, ill be happier with one santana than one mulder, one zito and one hudson.

We'll be facing two Santanas, one Radke, and two nothings. That is if it goes to game 5.

Wakefield was stellar in the postseason last year and Lowe can be a darn good pitcher. Besides, with the Red Sox powerhouse offense they would stand a great chance of winning giving up five plus runs. It is true that the metrodome is one of the toughest places to play, but the sox only need to win one game there.

Fair enough. I would take the Sox # 3 over Silva too, but I wouldn't count game three as being a gimee. I'm just trying to warn you, Minnesota has a good team and will give the Sox all that they can handle.

I predict the Twins taking a 2-0 lead, first with a pitching duel between Schilling and Santana, then with Pedro slipping. Then, Lowe will give a solid start and the Sox win game 3, 3-1, and win game 4 with a walk-off home run by Cabrera, then we win game 5 with a very good relief performance by Arroyo, and Both Schilling and Santana will allow three earned runs, only Schilling allows one unearned, but Bill Mueller will hit a two-run double and Keith Foulke loading the bases int he bottom of the ninth, but then strikes two guys out and gets the last guy to pop up to shallow right field....
