Timeplay??

Maybe I am blind or something, but I did not find the timeplay,you know, where you play against the time.I'd like to shut it off.

I would like to play without the game telling me after 12 hours or so that I won. Geez, I was never able to build that rocketship yet.
Ain't there a way to stop this and make it without any max time at all? I just don't want to play against time.

Unless I am mistaken, or you're talking about a game variant or mod... you don't ever play 'against time'. Simply, when the game ends it tells you how long it lasted.

You can shut off all victory conditions except for the Histograph, which will finish at 2050 by the default rules. You can change this by clicking on 'Game Limits' and changing it from 540 (default) to as high as 1000. Note that after the 440th turn, each turn is a year. So adding 460 will cause the game to end by histograph at 2510.

This is for PTW/C3C. Not sure about Vanilla Civ3. I think you can edit the civilization3.ini file and change it from 540 to 1000, but I'm not sure.

Well Turner 727, I never realized that one could even click on the *Game Limits* icon (stupid me) but I guess that will definitively stop the timeplay at 12 hours or so and yes, it always ended in the year 2050.

Btw, I have Civ III Gold and it works with that.
