Hello i am new to the civilization games i am currently on civ 3 and i oculd use any tips to help me get better i am currently playing close to the lowest i cant get over a certain one level then they seem to have such a major advantage then me and the computers seem to all like fighting me instead of each other like my military alliances the person i make one wityh doesnt hlep me attack the other tribe at all anyone no why and also as i said i oculd use any helpful tips to help me get better

Have you tried reading some of the articles in detail? It should take you more than 4 minutes.

Maybe the AI you allied with is weak.

Typically, on low levels, the AI doesn't help much in war. If you have Conquests, try putting aggressiveness up a bit.

The AI generally won't give much help because the AI is tragically stupid. The only time I will ally with an AI is because I am worried that particular AI will attack my while my troops are busy invading someone else.

Yes you cannot count on the AI to do much and if they can you will probably regret it. In DG or better they sometimes will take a big hand and gain too much.

The real benefit is that if they are on your team, they on not on the other guys team. So you face fewer units.

Thx everyone that clears everytying up for me now i no basically allying is pointless but on monarch or higher will they do anymore help also with more agressiveness will they be more likely to war against u and others

On Chieftain, the AI does not have very many units to throw at the foe, so they will not help much. On higher levels, though, they can be scary strong.

Everyone in there is willing to help. For general tips, you reallly want the war academy. It helped me immensely when I started.
