Title: Desync Issue in Multiplayer Game – Any Tips?

Hello,

I'm writing my first message on the FORUM as a long-time Civ VI player. This is the first time I've encountered the bug where a player disconnects (Desynch) at the end of each turn (in early game not late)

We are three players—my two friends and I—playing on a grand map with a lot of AIs (25) on a section of the Yet Not Another Map Pack. We all own every DLC except for one friend who doesn’t have the Leader Pass. We're all running Windows 10, except for one friend who is on Windows 11.

Bug Details:​

Each turn, one of the three players in the game "desyncs" at the end of the turn (or almost every turn). We initially thought the issue might be caused by the auto-save settings, so we set them to every 100 turns, but that didn’t solve the problem.

When we change the host, a different player starts experiencing the desync issue. Usually, only one player desyncs per turn, though rarely, two players can desync simultaneously.

If you have any tips or know any ways to reduce these resynchronization issues, I'd love to hear them. My two friends are still new to Civ, and we're really excited to play together.

Note: I know that Civ's multiplayer is quite unstable and buggy, but I hope this issue isn’t something impossible to fix.

No one knows why this happens, but it happens from time to time, and then the best you can do is either kick the player who desyncs, and if it bounces to another player then the game is over basically. Did you try to change the host ? Maybe if the host quits and reconnects, the problem is solved ?
