Too Many Favorite Song Threads In OT

It seems recently their has been an over abundance of Favorite...Song, it seems like everyones posting them, in the first two pages there are ten of them:

Favorite Metallica song
Favorite Pink Floyd Song
Favourite Kraftwerk song
Favourite Rush Song
Favorite Led Zeppelin Song
Favorite Hendrix song
Favorite Steely Dan song
Favourite Cranberries song
Favorite Beatles song
Favourite Doors song


I think we've gone a little bit overboard here. Lets nip this before OT just becomes a page of people listing off their favorite songs

I see no complaints about too many threads about Israel etc. OT isn't only for politics you know I also see no problem with a favourite colour thread.

The song topics were hardly abusive, and in fact are fun little threads where you get to know people a little, in other words, nothing wrong with them.

"Favorite poll" poll however, will land ye in a heap of trouble, and quick.

What's the problem exactly? IMO OT is full of 'superfluous' threads, but you don't have to complain about them, just ignore them.
