Im 15, boy do i feel young. I got into civ when i was 8- not that i had any clue what the heck i was doing back then mind you.

Two and five sevenths in Dog years playing since I was one and one seventh

I have just discovered your site tonight, and am amused that the majority of players seem to be very young. I am 51, and love Civ III. My supervisor will soon be sixty and gives me advice! So are all of the experienced in life people embarrassed to admit a passion? I simply refuse to believe that mature people can't think creatively enough to deal with Civ!

Welcome Papa :wavey: . Us 'Elders' have already posted and are proud to
be civers (39 here) We love it too ;) .

So, I'm 27, would you include me into the "very young players" group?

Hello Argentina! Does it matter where I include you? Twenty seven is a very good age, I think. Old enough to have education and experience, yet young enough to enjoy the vigor of life that precedes arthritis and less keen vision. Enjoy your adventures and apologize to no one.

I started playing at 6 on a LC575 Macintosh :)
I remember... father wanted me playing this game so bad that he started teaching it to me even though I was definitely too young ;)

(He was pretty bad either, back then I thought everybody was playing chieftain without any doubt  )

I knew how to irrigate plains and grasslands and make RRs everywhere !
Also how to send a caravan to the other side of the world =)

Now I'm 17 and still enjoying the game :D (of course I left civ1 ;) )

Real water is more like Perrier or maybe Evian, more like that without any bubbles and running on a natural bed of sand and clay. It is beautiful as I remember it, and made the South Idaho desert into bucholic cow fodder. But now I prefer Pepsi; I'll drink to that. I also think I prefer the irrigation methods of Civ3.

Hey PapaBear, we've had players here that were over 80 (WWII vets), so you are still young in comparison, only 29 years to go!! The youngest I've seen is 10 y.o.

You're never too old to play, you just have to take toilet breaks more often.

I'm 14. Therefore, I am young. My dad plays this game too and he's 44.

I'm 17. Got hooked on my cousin's copy of Civ 1 when I was around 9 or 10, then bought Civ 2 for myself as soon as it came out. Been hooked ever since.

im glad adults play games..

i plan to play some online games when i grow up and can afford them and faster connection too...
