Toolbar won't load on BTS

Hi guys, I have had a search around for how to fix this but nothing has come up so far, unless I am being blind.

When I start a new game on BTS (just installed it from Steam as on a new laptop), and once the gameworld has been created, there is no toolbar with which to take my turn. The only thing that loads is the actual gameworld, no map, no toolbar, no scores. I can still get the menu by pressing esc, but thats it.

Any advice?

I can think of two possible issues/solutions:

1) Somehow you accidentally turned the UI off. Use either CTL-I or ALT-I to turn it on

2) More likely you are running incompatible mods. For example, you are playing one of the delivered scenarios, which are basically stand-alone mods like RFC or Road to War. You also have BUG mod installed in custom assets. That will not work and causes the very issue you describe.

Thats great, I really appreciate the help. Having got used to BTS its weird playing the original Civ4. No Spys, no privateers!

I'll give that a try, just a quick followup question, where will I find the custom assets folder on this computer if its installed on STeam?

Okay so I can locate the file,

But even standard BTS games are running without the toolbar. Any ideas?
