Total Fog Of War

Recently started getting the most annoying bug.
Game starts with fog of war covering the whole map, including my settler and warrior. Re start the game over and over and sometimes it'll load fine, but the majority of the time it doesn't. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Edit: This is happening on both single player and multiplayer games. Trying to play with a friend and it's just not happening

Sounds like a corrupted file. Have you tried to validate local files in steam?

Tried that, didnt help.
Also re installed the game a few times.

Also re installed the game a few times.

The game also sets up files in the "My documents" folder under "My Games". You also may have to go in and manually delete all files there. If you want to save the 'saved' games copy them to another location. Then copy them back after reloading or playing the game.
