Maybe it could be combined with autoplants costing one oil and titanium so you won't just spam them.

Ah right... this thread still exists. I created this mod when there was no alternative available (at least none that I knew of), but meanwhile there are some mods that do a better job than mine. Beyond Balance does a great job at bringing some basic balance into the game, or if you just want to cut down trade routes, then Weaker Trade is probably the way to go - it also removes the free trade route from autoplants. (Although I really dislike the change he made to the ultrasonic fence)
Anyway, due to the fact that this mod only was a quick and dirty fix and that there are other mods who do a better job than my mod, this thread can be closed I guess.
