Trade screwed up

Anyone else accidentally trade away their one resource? I thought that when it brought up Coal on my trade screen that I had an EXTRA one, then I couldn't build railroads!!! I had to reload from autosave!! WHY DOES IT SHOW THE RESOURCE IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN EXTRA ONE???!?!

How is that "screwed up"?

I think its a good feature since it allows you to sell ressources you don't want at all.
Just be a bit more careful.

Firaxis really needs to update the Resources tab in the Foreign Advisor screen to indicate the total number of each resource the player has at his disposal. Such information is already available in the city screen for one's capital, so it shouldn't be difficult for them to show it in the Foreign Advisor screen, as well.

Because it can make sense to sell the one resource you have. (for example selling a health res for a Happiness one).
If you start the tradescreen you see how many of that Resource you have.

I always say lets negotitae. delte my resource it then shows the resource in the resource box with the number of available resources. A pain to be true, but then just re-negotiate if you have a spare

But sometimes you just can't (when AI is asking for a tribute for instance)

Yes but I have yet to see the AI demanding your only Resource.
Don't say it couldn't just that I have not experienced this until now.

I think it was a change for the better; allowing me to export my 1 resource.
I had to restart once because of it ofcourse.. but now I know;

This gives me more possibilities to get my hands on resources I do not have yet. (critical resources, that is.)
