Ghandi sat on his seat surveying the people. The men carrying him across the high mountains down the river to a hot and humid grassy area. The animals there were plentiful. Also, the wood and stones there could easily build him a beautiful palace.
However, he had to be patient. Now was not the time for pleasure and grandeur. His people were suffering. They were tired from walking over the earth. They were afraid the rest of the world would surpass their might. Thus, they begged with the Mahatma to let them settle down. There was after all no need to be warlike nomads.
Yes, Ghandi decided. We will settle here and show the world our wealth and culture. And we will not stoop so low as to follow their ideas. If we have the perfect city, they will bow down to us for our greatness! he exclaimed to his people. A rousing cheer followed and the city of Delhi was set quickly set up.
A band of warriors was gathered and trained to explore the lands around them. Their strength would help them survive harsh lands and obviate any aggressive plans in the hearts of Indias neighbors.
The working class was sent to build mines on the grasses west of Delhi. It was said that doing so would help the tiny town produce more. Roads were nice for the people but productivity mattered a bit more to Ghandi. They shall see, he said what a difference this shall make to our empire.
A man stepped up to Ghandi. He whispered something into the old mans ear. We are moderately advanced, but we scientists need guidance. Please fund our efforts. Ghandi prudently replied, Of course, good sir, if we contaminate our knowledge with the corruption of the world, where would we be then? You shall have your money. Oh and I love those pots you brought over last time. Be sure to teach us how to make more!
Ghandi then pressed a button that was labeled next turn. The Indians were on the road to greatness.
(1) Mine BG W of Delhi
(2, 3, 4) Nothing
(5) Warrior-> Warrior Warrior moves SW.
(6) Warrior moves S. Oh no, our FP wheat is surrounded by mountains! Either no river, or no wheat!!!

Worker roads.
(7) Warrior moves S again and sees another mountain.
(8) Warrior moves E. Looks like another coast.
(9) Warrior built set to rax prebuild. Warrior in Delhi north. Warrior in mountain range E.
Oh, its just a lake. More lakes and a possible coast found.
(10) Borders expand. What do I see, but another FP wheat.

Hopefully this one can keep a river. Also see a volcano next to it. Hmm, that could suck. A lot. Worker NE to mine and road BG. Explorations
(11) Nothing much
(12) Warrior NW of Delhi spots a landbridge.
(13) Actually, the site near the NW warrior is pretty good. Just no bonus food tiles. Warrior E of Delhi steps on Volcano. NE of Delhi is a good 20K site.
(14) Nothing much
(15) Lower science. Pottery in 1.
(16) Pottery done. I think for a while and decide that since the civs are not so aggressive, we can stick with warriors (also BW will be cheaper later on) Set research to writing. Switch Delhi to Granary in 8. We see furs. 3NE 1E of Delhi is a great site. Upon whipping the temple, we can get the volcano and the furs forest. Overlap is okay.
(17, 18, 19, 20) Nothing much. See green borders on turn 20. MM Delhi to get Granary in 2 turns at the cost of 2 food. Up lux. Worker moves to FP. Gibbon says that we are the 2nd richest civ in the world. Ghandi is not pleased. Converting the Persians may be a tough task.
(21) Contact the Aztecs. Teotihuacan is empty. Ghandi almost falls to temptation and orders the warrior to attack. But he regains control when he meditates, repeating Om over and over, happy at the fact that the granary will complete when he pushes the button.
(22) The granary finishes, set to settler in 6 and growth in 9. A warrior enters Delhi as the lux tax lowers. The warrior next to Teotihuacan sees a warrior pop up out of the town.
(23) Nothing much.
(24) Change deficit research to 90% So we keep 10 gold.
(25) Worker finishes irrigation. Growth in 4. Settler in 3. Worker roads.
The next player should settle Bombay on the red dot. Other semi good sites are the pink green, and yellow dots respectively. The stars indicate which city gets the tiles. Delhi gets 17, the minimum.

Did I do well? Ghandi sure is pleased.
