In a recent c3c game I play as the France. I did not produce Musketeers. When I accomplish the universal suffarage, my GA automatically started. However, the universal sufferage should trigger the agricultral tribe's GA, while the France is with Industral and Commercial traits. Why do this happen?

When you complete a wonder, and haven't had your GA yet, the program checks and sees if you have any wonders that will trigger your GA. If so, there's a chance it will happen. So if you captured wonders way back when, it wouldn't trigger the GA until you built a wonder.

Fixed it for you. ;)

More accurately, if any combination of Wonders in your possession will trigger your GA, when you complete any Wonder, your GA will be triggered.

Interesting, that explains our mysterious Golden Age in CBob03: Germans in tu-tus. We built a wonder that was neither Scientific nor Militaristic and still got a GA.

I used to think that. But the game I'm currently playing, I had to build 3 wonders before I got my GA. I was playing as Ottomans, and didn't have saltpeter....was trying to trip my GA so I could rush some units.

this leads to an odd quandry, getting a GA is hit or apparently... hit some more, but is it even possible to wring a second GA out of a normal game?

Did you have any that matched your civilization traits (scientific and commercial if I remember)?

Really? If that's the case, that's good to know - have never noticed this myself.

Something odd going on in your game, Turner? I'm rather curious, as GA triggers have never been random - when the conditions are met, GA begins.

/shrug could be. Cuz I always thought when you had the right wonders your GA started. TBH, this is the only time I recall when I had the right wonders but the GA didn't start.

I may have to test it.....
