Now Excuse me if i get anything wrong in this post, im trying to remember something from about 6 years ago on my amiga, on a game i havn't played for ...... 6 years :D

Anyway i remember playing a game, and it beaing early on, before 1 AD, and i had map making. Now correct me if im wrong but trimarines are ment to sink to far from land yeah? but i manage to get from europe to america on the earth map with a trimarine, by simply moving it diagonally, and by some strange co-incidence there were fish sqaures every 3rd suqre diagonally.... im not sure if its a bug, or if anyone else noticed it (or that its even there :D) but i think it counted the fish as land squares :D

Has anyone else ever come across this? My ship couldn't have been effected by any wonders simply due to the fact i sucked at civ back then, and the only way i made money was by stealing 15gp from the cities i plundered :D

Triremes don't always sink, they mostly do but sometimes you're lucky. I've tried it a few times and one time my trireme sunk the 4th turn at sea.
The reason why you landed on a fish each time is because there is a pattern in the fishes that repeats itself over and over again.
Also there is a route across the atlantic which allows a trireme to reach the otherside in one turn. I only know this from stories here at CFC though, I never play on earth...

BTW welcome to CFC Pod! :)
