Hello, there. While lurking on the these forums for quite some time know, I have realised that most CTD's cannot be helped, or even diagnosed to what the exact problem is. But I have heard of particular units (like a spy in a revolting city) that can cause CTD's that happened in previous versions of ROM.
My goal here is to get some feedback about typical things that can cause a CTD, and then go WB them all out in order to fix my game. I'm playing as the USA in the modern age and havent tried any of the Doomsday units yet ,hence me trying to save it.
The Rev Mod in this game seems to be going nuts in the last few turns, spawning 3 civs in the last 2 turns, so Im fairly certain that the problem must lie there.
Im playing 2.81 standard pack, with AND. I can also post a game save if anyone is so kind

Any idea's?

Check if you have any wonders completing on the next turn, that has caused problems for me before.

EDIT: You can also check the worldbuilder for any barbarian cities left alive. I had one being taken over by a rival that crashed my game just last night.

Alas, I tried. There unfortunately wasnt any wonders being completed (or even worked on) and they were no barb cities. A few ai cities were about to complete the "construction firm" though. Oddly enough, the turn before the one that crashes has the economy going well +86:gold: per turn, but then on the next turn (seconds before it crashes) the economy goes to -402:gold: per turn.
Is that just a coincidence or perhaps part of a larger picture?

How about discovering new techs then? Spreading corporations? Both can cause economy pains.

This is a long shot, but sometimes I think that too many civs can be the cause. How many civs are in your game at the moment. Try to delete one or two of the newly spawned civs. Hope that will help. Otherwise try to post your logs. Zappara might look at them and give a more qualified answer ;)

Sounds like worth a try! My latest game got interrupted by CTD upon ending the turn as well. What was odd that I had the issue for a while before, but it wasn't 100% crash chance, and it just sort of disappeared on its own. Came back tho and so far nothing's helped.
