I can get the TSL on Ynaemp to work, but the resources are not in their realistic locations and are instead placed at random locations with each new game set-up. I've tried many different set-ups and I've looked and read through the forums for quite a few hours now. Many people have had this problem, and I can't find a solution. I've tried using other custom world maps than Ynaemp, and while the resources look to be correct, the starting locations seem odd. I can continue experimenting with more various world maps and set-ups, but it would be so much easier if someone could just tell me if this is even possible, and if so to recommend a good world map, much preferably huge, with TSL and realistic resource placement, or even better, how I can get Ynaemp to work properly without having tobacco and silk in Russia. Thanks!

Sorry, I should have placed this in the quick questions quick answers thread.

Well, I have been experimenting like a madman, and thought I might as well share some of my findings.

1. And most importantly, it seems that when one toggles the reveal entire map view, while one can indeed see the entire map and all other settlements, one cannot see any as of yet undiscovered resources. So that was very misleading as I was certain that I was getting a map with only one resource at the starting location again and again and no resources anywhere else. And I still believe that was the case, but now am not absolutely certain about it. Numerous others have reported the same problem, but were they being mislead as well???
2. Loading the "More Luxuries" mod appears to add additional luxeries to the maps the Ynaemp, but otherwise no ill effects. It would have been nice to have the information from the start as to exactly what new resources this mod adds as lack of this information (which I still can't find) has only lead to increased difficulty and confusion in an already difficulty and confusing situation of missing and/or odd resource and at times even starting location placement.
3. Toggling the "Realistic Resources Placement" in the game set-up in Ynaemp may or may not effect resource placement. When "More Luxuries" is included, still get odd placement of tobacco, silk, oranges and so on in Russia for example. Regardless, resources are still placed in different locations on each set-up of the same map, so they don't seem to be following any sort of "Realistic Resources Placement" type protocol as far as I can tell.
4. Using a different custom made map (xxx version of Greatest Earth) with Vox Populai lead to correct resource placement

Re #3 That makes sense. It think YNAEMP is older than More Luxuries and it does not have the code for the realistic placement of the new extra resources. I am happy to hear that it at least places them randomly - I'd expect it not placing them at all.
