My take on the foreign affairs
To Epsilon
We would be interested in trading for Currency, what do you want for it?

Everyone already has Alpha so it’s not that big anymore. Aloha doesn’t have anything to trade to us for CS so they will deal with Piffle, we need to grant them permission to do so or we needlessly build resentment.

Any ideas how Epsilon got that score and such a huge tech lead?
Looks like our NE warrior isn't getting through, we can wait for the barb to get killed by Aloha or wait till we get a boat on that side of the continent.

I've got no idea, but they've got some excellent players in DaveMCW and Memphus, and General_W is an excellent MTDGer too.
If we think about it, why would they have researched literature if they aren't building the great library? At least I wouldn't research Lit this early just for the NE...
This means that we will have to pop-rush the GL as soon as we can if Epsilon hasn't beaten us to it by that time.
btw, how many GP's have been born in the world yet? They could have achieved the tech lead by lightbulbing a lot...
I've caught up with the diplomatic storm now. 
I have sent the following to the different teams.
Epsilon:

asked them what they want for currency

offered alpha for monarchy
offered clams for corn
Aloha:
offered Lit and the right to trade CoL to Piffle for IW
asked for a chat about the Epsilon Issue (tm)

Epsilon built the Oracle. They got a tech and some wonder points that turn. Also they must have a lot of commerce tiles, possibly some mined gold and silver given their huge lead in GNP.

Civil Service finished, started Monotheism (3 turns)
Adopted Hereditary rule (+1 happiness per troop) and Bureaucracy (+50% hammer and gold in Wheelville)
Offered Loco Clam for Corn
Offered Aloha Lit for Iron
Were probably in a race against an industrious civ to finish GL so I have done all I can to expedite production. Wheelville has sent all specialist back to the fields and taken pigs back from Chowderton. 10 hammers for the next 3 turns until the Quarry is finished and pop growth in 3. We will have the option to rush 4 people at least and so may need less than 10 turns to finish.
