2040BC. EDIT: there's something wrong with these dates, 2040BC doesn't occur in the Epic game. Turn 44 is 1990BC in the Epic game, and it's at 40 turn intervals around that time - so 2070BC and 2030BC are the closest dates to 2040BC. This is the third discrepancy/mod I found, I wonder how many more there are ;). Fortunately this one doesn't matter much, only for culture doubling.

Cannot play tonight, will play tomorrow eve sometime (about 21 hrs from now). It would be nice to have some more certainty about our research and trades by then :).

Shelby built warrior, I suggest to build two workers here.
Springfield will do settler in 1.
Persian bloke stayed put. Barb bloke moved north. I suggest to let them.
I agree with Robi D that it would be good to pop the two huts.
Military is average compared to Persia.
We are lowest in score and land, first in pop, about average in gold and shields. Our power graph is steadily going down :(.

Does it say 2040 BC? Odd. I'll ask Rik. I know that in PBEMs, when you are making a custom map, you have to start in 3950 BC because the 4000 BC is where the map-maker creates the passwords for each team. So MTDG044_TeamXXX is really going to be Turn 45 in game, because we started on turn 1, not turn 0. Don't worry.

With the settler due in one we have to decide whether to build at site 1 or 4 (since they are closest to springfield this makes sense to me) and is there and escort ready.

My vote is to pop the huts, if you look at what we know of the map, they are roughly half way between us and TNT.

Military is fine, but i would like to start getting some spearmen in production soon.

Don't worry about the score, if you look at it most of the pts come from land area, for which we lost 9sq for 4 turns (i think) we can catch that up later.
Same with power graph, we lost land and pop, so that effects it.

Finally, i also had a talk with MIA's foreign minister, emp. napoliean last night, they are still deciding, so with the forums being down it was difficult for them to communicate. I have my suggestions to the trade in the MIA thread.

I made the starting date 4050, but forgot to have 26 (instead of) 25 turns of 50 years each. That's why.

No big deal.

Thanks! You're right, no biggie. Just puzzling :).

Played and sent.

Shelby warrior -> worker. New warrior in Shelby goes to Never Again, warrior from Never Again sets off to the north. worker crosses river to improve our road network. Curraghs see nothing new, our warrior in the west sees more furs.
Temporarily switch Springfield to rax. Pop the two huts and get a map and a load of barbarians. The map reveals another lux, see pic. Switch Springfield back to settler.
Republic in 44; 22 gpt.

Pic of new revelations. The red dots might be good city sites.
