I haven't seen this started yet, but as far as I can tell the next turn chat is scheduled for Sunday night (according to the turn chat thread, when it was scheduled for Wednesday and Sundays). I will be out of town all weekend, (taking the kids to see my Grandma), so I thought I would start with the Department of Culture instructions for our next turn. This is somewhat budget dependent, but our main priorities are:

Rush Library in Tlaxcala (surrounded by three different borders, needs to generate its own culture for breathing room). Currently building knight, but would take 69 turns to do it. Rush would cost 156 right now.

Rush Library in "New CAP City": New city SW of Justinian, when built, will need Library, also should build one shield, then pay 156 to rush.

Other projects, if money is available or if other departments pay for these:

Temple in Justinian to continue CAP
Temple in Alexandria (Rather than market, would cost 140 to rush now, also has several borders nearby).

Note these last two are not to be considered overrides of the governor's build queues, but recommendations, since I don't have the budget right now to rush them anyway this turn chat.

Here are the new building queues hope that it will be accepted by the military and not changed, and I have changed PDX production from knights to bank and let PDX build the bank to the finish. Any wonder construction overrides the building queues.

PDX: Bank/ knights or musketman
Washington: Courthouse[c]/ musketman
Boston: Courthouse[c]/ aqueduct
Miami: harbor[c]/ aqueduct change the square that not producing food to sea when harbor is complete
Pherris: Bank[c]/ Courthouse/ knights or musketman
Port Gisnod: Courthouse[c]/ aqueduct/ marketplace
Shailonegha: Courthouse [c]/ knight or musketman
New falcons heaven: Knight or musketman [c]/ temple / harbor
Chichago: Courthouse[c]/ temple

Fox Nest: bank, Copernicus's Observatory
Eyr: harbor, bank
Khatovar: granary, bank, cathedral
Chie: knight, bank, knight
Asyut: granary, market, aqueduct
Lutetia: university, cathedral, granary
Malinalco: market, harbor, bank

Current build is in bold.

Heliopolis: market, university, temple
Alexandria: market, aqueduct, university

Current build is in bold.

Note: Since SKILORD has been named governor of province #5 I am not including build queues for Justinian and Macao.

Our settler should build a new city "on the hill SE of Incense (2 tiles NE of Pompeii)" according to this poll.

Note: 'New CAP City' is not the official name of this city. this new city shall be named according to the naming rights laid out in the constitution. Chiefpaco is the highest ranking member of the CoC who has not named a city yet. He has indicated in a pm that he does not desire to name a city at this time. Therefore naming rights for this city pass to Plexus as deputy of FA.

2 more granaries for Khatovar! Yeah! :) j/k Donsig.

Thebes has to be re-adjusted to make the FP in shorter time. But I'm not the Asph. governor so I didn't make this recommendation. In fact, there are probably many cities that can be re-optimized. It shouldn't lay on the player's shoulders though - but the player can do it if they feel like it.

Turn 0
Remove ROPs with Zululand, Babylon and China.

Turn 1
Attempt contact with Aztecs. Sign a peace treaty. Peace for Peace is acceptable. Some tribute is preferable. Repeat this each turn until Peace is achieved.

Turn 4
Renew Peace Treaties with India, Iroquois, Greece and Rome. Iroquois and India should be straight Peace for Peace. For Greece and Rome, figure the maximum we can get and then take half. Take their treasury before using g/t.

Contingencies
  • If the Aztecs draw another civ into this war before we can get peace, get alliances asap in this order: Rome, Greece, Iroquois, India.
  • If we are forced to continue war against the Aztecs, the promimary goal will be the capture of a sizeable Aztec city. This city will then be given to Greece.
