When do you decide to build HE now instead of dikes, and who has compute it?

Why in Arc?

I would like read the reason for this? In 3 turns we want to change to theo or not?


additional I'm interested what is our frigate doing? It should bomb the Mav cities!

I would like to see a plan how we want conquer Mavs Isle?
 
HUSch: Q and OCZ, our allies? Not really. We only have a trade agreement with them, I don't think we have any non agression pact, do we? Or the ETTT implicits non agression?
Also, we can see the western side of the map? How? We don't have any ship near there but Ironside by Vega that can reach it only next turn. Or are you talking about Mariner?


Mavs have 260 EPs on us. Can they check our cities or is it blocked by our 1062 EPs on them?
Also, how many turns the counter espionage mission is active?
 
OK. let's try to solve this marble problem.

I started the HE in Arc 'cause i thought that Ama could wait 2 measly turns. Sure we can buid the dike, the library and then the HE, but we need to ask them the marble back and i don't know if this is possible. I already said that i think so, but i'm not sure.

If they can wait 2 turns they will understand we're using it, then they can keep it until the end (until we destroy them).

If you agree i can PM Sommerswerd and ask him what he prefere.

It's why i continue to play the same disc. We're giving them techs almost for free and they can backstab us when they want.

With Ama is different: we have a NAP with them since the stone age.
 
Actually I got an idea, lets offer Marble the next turn, I think HE would still complete in two turns since it's first turn is like 167 hammers.

I think Arcturus is just as good as any, my other choice would have been Vega.

I moved Mariner toward our other ships since it has no business going toward Quat.

Well CDZ and Quat are still teching Democracy and Steel. So it's not like were getting nothing in return. At anyrate I believe we did agree Steel/Rifling would be the cut off point. At least no one disagreed with me at the time anyways.
 
BTW I fixed the 1080 screen caps. I'll post caps for 1090 and 1100 AD as well.

Does anyone else want to help with this? Typically it's the Turn player that does this.
 
I made some marks on the game map to show where I think good invasion spots are for Mav Island.

The two invasion tags I left I believe will allow us to land and NOT be attacked first before we can strike. In fact I think if we land with mounted in those spots we can take out the Catapualts first.
 
Good work Alphashard. I think I agree with your idea to loan marble next turn. It was taking almost that long to argue about it anyway.

Although it would also make more sense to build a dike before the HE, because the Dike will speed up the HE while the HE will not help the Dike. So maybe we should trade it this turn and swap the builds. It's getting close to too late to be worth the bother this turn though.

Those invasion spots aren't as safe as they might look. Assuming they have engineering, the catapults can reach those spots with the help of workers roading in the same turn. They've done that trick before from memory, so no reason not to expect them to do it again. I wouldn't be surprised if they've chosen which tiles to road specifically to draw this kind of error. Actually the north spot would require 4 workers, no sure they have enough?

I expect the best way may be an amphibious attack.

We have an agreement about letting the other know what Wonder one will build in wish we failed.
We toke Rigel with the promise that they would have access to the marble uppon request and they are still waiting for it.
They made ivory available when we asked to build War Elephants.
We are failing miserably.

We might need to put two(or more) spys in the island. One to check the fog tiles and other for a possible mission before we invade.
But let's not start to get ahead of ourselves. We have so much to do before getting our feet there if we want to be able to stay.

Amphibious is three promotions. How are we going to pull that much XP onto fresh units?
 
I don't think Irgy meant the actual promotion however with HE, Theo and Vassalge with the stable/Barracks. We may be able to make some.

However I interpreted as using freights to bombard the cities, then throwing catapults and then invading. I am afraid however of that giant Catapult stack in the center of the island.

The Mavericks pushed for peace through Apost Palace vote, I said no. They should make a formal letter of surrender if they want that.
 
1. If there is a discussion about the ETT, this is an ally and nothing else.
We give techs without paying. The other doing the same, but they aren't so good in research.

2. We want now after building dikes change to war civics and build units to conquer the mav isle.
That's the plan. Blub has posted we need some cavs, infantry and cannons, more cannons than cavs. I vote for cavs because they can flanking the siege. We 've 6 turns to build the army. Imo the building of HE is possible.

3. building a bib in Arc is the least we need. I don't know who get this idea.

Alpha, we are on every tile under attack so it's best to land near the city we want. But the most we 've to do is fighting the Mav army.

Amphibious was my idea with the general. 9 from start +1 gives 10 for **amphi. HE gives no XP, it gives 100 % prod at military units.
 
No, I didn't mean the promotion at all. I just meant attacking from ships rather than landing and being vulnerable to a wipe-out. Sorry if that wasn't clear.
With cannons you're almost invulnerable. That's why i'm proposing them as our main invasion force. If Mav attack with cats, rifles or Cav will defend and the cannons remain unharmed. Then, if they will attack the cannons will defend. And they have no units to counter them. The GG will heal the stack, which will land next to a city, possibly on a hill. Next turn we can start wipe them.

If they do not attack we'll take the first city and at that point Cavs can use the flanking against the cats.

In the meantime reinforcements will arrrive. Just a matter of time, they are hopeless.

We go with medic and cannons near a city, bomb the defends and then attack with cannons, the conquering with cavs from ship. Is this a possible way? the Mav cats can attack the medic defends, no coll-damage.
And we need to be quick in Injinya.

Can be a good tactic. The bad side can be that with Amphi attack our units can be damaged even if they will surely win.

Maybe the way to go can be to keep one galleon loaded with 2 rifles + 2 cannons, unload 6 cannons + 4 Cavs + 6 Rifles. This way we have the chance to unload them in the city or where the stack is to help protect the injured units.

Of course we need to bombard with frigates first.
 
I noticed that we don't have sheep and Amazon does, I put in a trade request for sheep.

I also checked Arcturus it only needs 37 hammers to complete HE, our base is 41 hammers which doesn't even take in the +25 forge and +25 Confu. We have more then enough to complete it. I offered the marble to Amazon as well, especially if were going to ask for Sheep for obvious health bonus.
 
But we have hammers in dike already, we'd have to lose hammers already invested. 1 turn and we can get back to the dike.
 
we lost :hammers: in wonders after 50 turns; in units after 10.
We get + 12 netto more with dike.
