Turn off Animated Leaders

how do I turn these animations off?? Theyre annoying and make my computer chugg

It's under the video options. There is a setting for leader videos and you just have to dial it down to the lowest setting.

Open the game... go to Options... Video Options Tab...

On the right column, at the top is "Leader Scene Quality"... set it to Minimum then restart the game....

Or edit your GraphicsSettingsDX9 or Graphics SettingsDX11 (whichever you use) like this:

Whether or not to use static screenshots of leaders (this is the default for min-spec machines)
UseScreenShots = 1

The files are in User/Documents/MyGames. This change also allows you to use mods that replace the leader animations with still images, and is currently the only known way to accomplish this.
