The iron is annoyingly out of reach (S-SE of our stack). There are two options: step on flat land to save a turn, or stick to the hills, but delay a turn in pillaging. I think a hill-to-hill move is best. It could be taken as an advance on their capital, plus their reinforcements would be able to put a hurt on our stack on flat land.

Yes, you're not going crazy- I missed the last turn report. I got the turn played, then had that odd timing-out error I mentioned. I almost couldn't login for this turn, but after doing a couple of different things I managed to get in.

Our stack did not move last turn due to the sizable maverick stack of ten (compared to our twelve). A healthy portion of their stack is crossbowman, with a couple of catapults thrown in. This turn revealed the same situation, with neither stack moving. To that end, I decided to follow cav's suggestion to follow the hillside back to Iron City. Our galleons can surprise the mavericks with a stack o' siege.

So I'm a little peeved, but this replay through

WE HAVE LOST OUR LANDED STACK



I already moved the galleons ahead as planned before noticing this.

Sorry for not posting a report for turn 139 :blush: anyways, here is turn 140.

The fleet is returning to our island. Our core cities are focusing on troops while the peninsula cities are churning out culture buildings to regain resources lost to CDZ. Sirius completed The Great Library and we traded Drama for Feudalism.
 
Not much new to report. Upgraded our island warriors in anticipation of our attack on the Mav peninsula cities. We will be able to land the following in 2 turns in the forest next to Poison City:

5 Maces
1 Pike
1 Crossbow
1 Longbow
4 Trebs

Two turns later we will reinforce with the 2nd wave:

2 Maces
1 Longbow
1 Catapult
8 Trebs

The turn after the 2nd wave lands we will take the city. After that we heal and then move on Bubble Gum.
 
Our first wave has landed and Mavs have moved most of the Poison garrison out of the city and across the river.

Sirius cancelled stone to us, I guess they are going after some wonders. I requested it for one more turn.
 
I didn't get screens for this turn, I was waiting for Slaze to move and then forgot to get them before the turn rolled.

Anyways, not much happened this iteration. Reduced the defenses in Poison City to 0% with two of our Trebs while the remainder of our first wave fortified in the forest. Loaded up our second wave of troops to land them next turn.

The only defenders left in Poison City are the longbow and crossbow pictured in last turns screens. The small stack that was 1 tile N of the city has disappeared.
