Don't accept flips.

Berlin:
Build queue:
courthouse->market

Micromanagement:
turn 0: switch unroaded BG to irrigated BG
turn 3: switch hill to 2SE BG
turn 4: new citizen should work horse (ie switch hill to horse)
turn 8: new citizen should work hill
turn 13: new citizen should work tobacco if specialist is not needed

If the 5th citizen causes too much unhappiness and the lux slider is at 0%:
turn 8: new citizen (ie hill) should be scientist
turn 10: rush knight, switch back to courthouse

Worker actions:
turn 2: native worker1 mines tobacco
turn 3: native worker2 finishes irrigation, moves to NE forest
turn 4: worker1, slave move to 2NW forest; worker2 chops
turn 5: slave, worker1 road
turn 8: worker2 roads
turn 9: slave, worker1 mine NNE grassland
turn 11: worker2 mines 2NE grassland

If micromanagement does not work as planned or worker cannot work where allocated, the DP can alter as needed.

Wars
-Seeing as the French War measure has passed neither the Senate nor the Assembly, do not declare war on France
- Don't declare war on anyone else
-Do not sign any Millitary Alliances or Rights of Passages this turnchat.

Foreign Civ Problems
- If Persia demands money or a tech from us, give it to them
- If France, Germany, or Rome demands money or a tech from us, don't give it to them
- Give in to German demands if France has already declared war, or vice versa (we shouldn't be at war with both of them by chat's end!)
- If German, French, or Roman troops enter our territory, ask them to leave
- If Persian troops enter our territory, wait a turn or 2. If they don't leave yet, then ask them to get out

Espionage
- Conduct a diplomatic investigation of Rome towards end of TC
- Conduct a diplomatic investigation of Paris towards end of TC

Ministery of Defense:

Yet another easy TC, primary concern is our own territory, keep everything and everybody out of it and shift a balance of Forces more southern towards Bescanon, but also keep a few up North near Paris, the german's don't pose much of a threat but we're mobile enough to counter them even if they DO strike. And the romans, we don't even want to tick them off yet, we're not in a position to handle them, so be courteous and keep our men out of Rome's way, if you want you can piss of the French a bit, but Greekguy may not be too happy about that!

Overall keep an attacking foce evenly split between the far North and the Bescanon area, and keep defensive and mobile units somewhere in between and scattered throughout the lands for counter-strike capability.

ASs for upgrades, do as much with our cash as you can, we stay alive by having better trained and armed troops, I'd place paramount concern on keeping an advanced military afoot.

Turnchat Instructions - 460 AD

Note: All compass directions use this compass.

Worker actions:
None

Build Queue:
(finish) Knight -> Knight -> Hoplite -> Knight

Micro:

Turn 0: Keep everything how it is. For reference, this should be:
2NW (bg), NW (hill), SE (bg), 2SE (bg), E (grass), ESE (wines), WNW (fish), NNE (forest), and a coastal square.

Turn 6: With the growth at 33/40 and the second knight finished (and thus the Hoplite ready to start), move the laborers on the 2NW (bg) and NNE (forest) tiles to coastal squares. This should give Priapos +4 food and +10 production (after corruption).

Turn 8: With the population growth to 10, put one of the coastal tile laborers on 2NW (bg) and the new laborer on NE (forest). This should put Priapos back at +3 food and +14 shields. Switch to another Knight.

Specialist Use:
If for any reason the city needs a specialist, please pull one laborer off of any non-fish coastal square to use as a scientist (or tax collector if the tech currently being researched is in it's last turn of research). In this case, do any MM that might fix problems that might show up without that laborer.

End Turnchat:
If we get to turn 13, please stop the turnchat.
If the happiness of Priapos can not be kept safe even after using the guidelines above, then end the turnchat.

Build queue

Knights Templar (8!) -> Cathedral (12)

If someone should build the Knights Templar before we do, the DP may switch to other Wonders if available or the Palace. If another city is already building a Wonder or using the Palace prebuild, stop the chat. Stop the chat if we are about to build another Wonder or the Palace, a different Wonder could be built (and we need to decide which) or we need to change the research (rate or tech) and are unable to in order to have a Wonder to build. Do not waste the shields on a non-Wonder build! If in doubt stop the chat

Worker Actions (turn numbers for guidance only)

3 Workers (on Mountains)
turn 0: continue roading
turn 1: 2 Workers released to national pool; 1 Worker moves to hill SW of the city
turn 2: Worker on hill roads (6)
turn 8: worker released back to the national pool
other tasks: If the Worker is not requied back in the national pool, or if another worker becomes available move to the plains NNW of the city, road and then irrigate the plains to give increased commerce and a better route to France in case of war.

In case of war, if possible protect the Workers with units (preferable), but the DP may interrupt the Workers and get them to safety if it is necessary to do so. Please then continue the Worker Actions where interrupted.

City Tile Micromanagement

None should be necessary. but if a higer commerce plain should be improved please use that in preference to a 2 food, 1 shield, 2 commerce tile.

Please maintain the lux slider as any use of specialists will delay the Knights Templar. If the lux slider is not authorised, used specialsts as required maintaining zero growth and maximum shields. Please consider stopping the chat if this occurs before completion of the Knights Templar.

Rushes
None, unfortunately we can’t rush a Wonder

Worker Joins
None

NB: All directions are using the following compass:

Workers
3 workers to Augean Stables
-- Once the workers finish their current task, 2 are to be assigned to Styx immediately. The remaining worker may complete one more task, then is also assigned to Styx.

4 workers to Civantonia.
-- The worker WNW of Civantonia on the road is reassigned to Styx immediately.
-- The worker 2NW of Civantonia is to cancel the forest chop, and road the wine. It is then released to Civantonia

2 worker plus the captured German worker to Berlin.
-- The worker 2W of Berlin is released to Berlin once it completes the irrigation.

4 Workers are on their way to Styx - see the allocations above.
-- 1 should arrive in about 2 turns.
-- 2 should arrive in about 8 turns.
-- The last will not arrive for quite some time.

Any new workers produced this turn are allocated to Styx.

If any unit from a civ at war with us gets within 2 squares of an unescorted worker (3 if the unit is a fast one), the worker is de-allocated and must immediately move to a save location as determined by the DP.

Slider
The slider is to be set at 70% science, and the lowest practical luxury rate. This rate should ensure that all of our cities remain in good order without the use of entertainers. Should our trades happen, this should maintain a positive GPT.

We may go into negative gpt for this session, so long as we don't go more than -20 gpt. Please reduce the science rate to maintain a maximum loss of 20 gpt if that should happen.

As we approach learning a tech, decrease the tech slider so long as the time does change, to maximize our income.

Budget Priorities - ensure these happen first, or that money is available for them
--

Please maintain a cushion of 250 gold, do not rush anything that would take our gold below that unless it is culture or growth related.

All other requests for funds may be prioritized by the DP.

Game Stop conditions - please halt the chat should any of the following occur
-- Should barbarians threaten unescorted workers
-- Should any nation declare war upon us
-- Should our treasury be in danger of not supporting our infrastructure (ie the current treasury is less than the negative GPT).

Thanks,
-- Ravensfire, President of Fanatikos

When we finish researching Theology, switch palace to Sistene Chapel.

If someone completes Sistene Chapel before us, switch back to Palace if available or another wonder if not. If another palace prebuild has started and no other wonder is available, stop play so the other governor can decide what to switch to.

Workers: mine and then road plains tiles in the most efficient manner.

Laborer allocation: Max shields without going negative food. At the beginning of the set, all the improved land tiles. After growth, put the new citizen on the tile which was improved or is closest to being improved.

If a worker is built by another city for population transfer, join it to the city if there is an improved tile, or have it help out improving its tile and then join.

reaserch through tree to democracy. trade chivalry to france for max gpt after templar completion.

the duke

This is one of the quietest turnchat I have ever conducted. Right up to the end of the turnchat (turn 10), we lost our gems. I halted the turnchat there so that we can discuss trades on what to do with an absence of gemstones.

PS. Can someone whom was present the whole time post up the chatlog, I could but it would come out messy since I use the NoNameScript.
Thanks.

Fellow citizens!

A National Day of celebration has been declared! A short time ago, The Augean Stables completed their most massive construction project - the chapterhouse of the Knights Templar! Truly, this is a wonder for all to behold.

After discussions with the order, they will also be providing us with a unit of soldiers every few years or so to assist in the defense of the nation. These are powerful units, capable of strong offensive action and good defense for our cities.

In addition, Styx is rapidly being developed in preperation for the Sistine Chapel. Although some of the work crews misread the map (2S of Styx are improving land that cannot be used :nono: ), there are 6 crews in the area already, rapidly turning Styx into a production powerhouse.

Our spies confirmed that both Paris and Rome are nearly finished with academies to lure the master Sun Tzu to their lands. It appears that Rome will complete their project first, making them the front runner to have Sun Tzu instruct their troops. Tragically for the French, the only other project of this size available is Leonardo's Workshop, which they are already building in Marseilles! So long as they do not learn Theology in the next 4 turns, the cascade will break with a very impressive city improvement!
