Turns 21-40

In the absence of a absence thread i'll put it here. I will be away from the 1st to the 7th of March.

And yes i realise i could have started an absence thread myself but that was just too much work:)

... Tubby played 12 turns, I have now played 12. Do you guys feel it is time for a hand over or should I take a few more?
W is doing a fine job. You're able to get that other team off their #$%&*# %** (duff).

Wotan, if the save happens to come in when you are able to play, go ahead. It seems to me that the turn comes to us by the time I go bed (and then work next day).

Robi D, probably it isn't in this team necessary to have an away thread. Probably no one cares when someone doesn't post for a few days...

If someone wanted to take some turns I'd ask that they are prepared to mm and understand the spreadsheet before doing it.

Otherwise I'd say Wotan carry on. I think you've already intimidated a few teams at this point.

maybe our MM freaks can post an updated excel sheet with all the actions to be taken in the capital/worker action...

Not a goody hut after all, a baddy hut actually with barbs... :(
Granary ready next turn, then it is Settlers galore until some distant future turn. LF changed to Worker.

Tubby is has the current spread sheet, the thing to think about is that Hef's us not using the sugar as indicated in the SS but rather a bg so LF can use the Sugar.

So why did we pop that GH? we aren't expansionist.... I'd recommend only popping GH's with a settler planting in an adjacent tile or if the GH is near an opponent's lands.

Also if there is a rival's unit nearby that will pop it anyway

Here is the current spreadsheet.

Note that after the current chop, if that tile isn't a BG, then the worker will need to move SE instead of mining a regular grassland.

EDIT:: updated the spreadsheet to show working BG instead of sugared plains.

The tile copped now is a BG according to CivAssist esle the plan would not work. Also do not work the sugar with Hef's but a bg. let LF use the Sugar.

GH, I think we shoudl pop any we find, good chances of surviving if there are barbs in them but the upside would be if we get a Worker or a tech from them. I think that is worth doing it for. Better get one early than wait until we expand into the area later.

but the odds are something like 50% or so that it'll be barbs if popped with a warrior. I'd rather delay the gratification as we could get a nice tech out of it. or maybe some gold

OK, I don't mind us waiting with any other GH that is discovered in the area near us. But if we find them further away I guess we should still pop them?

Ìf it is way out of harm's way, do pop. However so long as it would be sensible to expand there, holding off the horses is a great option. Popping, say, construction or some such tech would be huge.

I guess I have learnt to regard GH's somewhat differently just now. I have always popped them ASAP. But it do make sense to preserve the ones closeby, that you have some sort of control of if they are in a location you plan to place a location next to.

First a message from GONG I just want to share with you all:
The latest political rumor is that if Hillary Clinton wins the presidency, she will be replaced in the Senate by her husband, Bill Clinton. When asked about it, Bill Clinton said, 'I dream of replacing Hillary every day.'" --Conan O'Brien.

We now have a Granary, Settler next, will be ready in just three turns. then another settler built using some tweaking of production. But after that settler is finished the factory is in place. Next settler to found on the river plains as discussed earlier, right?

Worker will be ready, he should first link LF to the capital to lower corruption then irrigate FP and Oasis before mining Sugar.
Warrior ignored the Barbs and continue moving, we need mapping more than clearing them.

EDIT: map has gone AWOL. Sorry, will definitely post next turn. Not that much, coastline beginning to be defined in the NE.

Those crazy guys at Gong. I'm trying to figure out who were the black sheep of our old team some of us or some of them?

Yes to the river plains.
Barbs fortified? Phew.

question: are you going to let the settler walk around alone or send along the MP warrior? I feel a little uneasy with a mere 2 warrior (and 1 is off in the wilderness).
Can we have some more warriors up soon?

The original idea was to have another Warrior from LF finish next turn but the corruption had us switch to a Worker so we can connect LF with Hef's ASAP.
MS Sweatshop will bring us a Warrior in 8 turns from now. And LF will have one for us in 5.

Do we have some kind of dot map?

Maybe we could make another thread where only definitely planned things get in, such as dot map, tech path, spreadsheetsm, attack routes etc.
