Turns 21-40

How 'bout Rehab-racadabra for a celebrity-themed city name?

 that's excellent!

OK guys, I have opened the save and started by moving the MP onto the mountain. There is a barb (probably the remaining one from the GH) in the tile N of the mountain. If we move the Settler onto the mountain there is a 11% chance the barb will win a battle. I guess we take the odds and move him there, or? I will go to bed now but leave the game running until tomorrow morning so any objections can be heard. Alternative would be to move him either to the southerneastern coast "filler" or towards a NW site to be determined in a couple of turns time.

EDIT: Have started to lean towards 1NW of mountain and hill 3W of Hef's as a potential GW production site, fog gazing suggest it has at least 6 grass and 2 plains within the big cross and a couple of forests and 4 hills.
Road to LF lowered corruption enough to give a third shield so we will have the Warrior in two and then go for a couple of Curraghs. Got an extra beaker for a turn by moving the citizen from the FP to the newly roaded plains. Will go to the oasis next turn for 3fpt (9 food left to fill).

And saw BCLG's post so will turn off the computer now and resume tomorrow morning (7 hrs from now) nite!

Just to point out wotan you are allowed to open the save on multiple occasions so long as you dont differentiate in moves etc.

I'm inclined to take zero risk with the settler. It's like losing pop due to disease if we lose him and seems unnecessary. I'd go for another coastal since the barb would probably move to the jungle if you head N then W.

The coastal will not be "safe" since it is in fog and we have no warrior to lead and fog bust. Hill 3W would be possible to assure safe arrival in. So would going for a tile in the SW corner, fish just SW of the tip of the land. S/SE of the warrior there is a good spot on fresh water or the tile SE of that though it is not on the lake. By moving the Settler S/S/S/W/S we would have info on any resources in the sea tiles off coast to the south that could influence the choice of location. Going to bed now. If there is a general agreement on where to move the Settler when I wake up tomorrow I will finish the turn and post it then,.

Did you ask the military advisor wether there were barbs nearby?

why dont we just settle on the one west- theres no rush to settle any particular spot as we dont need any luxs especially quickly.

going with the rest, better be safe than sorry though I doubt we would lose the settler pair...settle in the west

OK, Settler sent West. Else everything is as in the pic from yesterday. Writing finished and philo started. Could be seen in the pic too BTW.

And you are very correct in it not being important to press for the northern jungle to be settled, the factory is now in place and we will have another settler every 4th turn.

EDIT: Mil advisor has no knowledge of any barbs? That is strange given the settings for this game? At 2430BC I would have assumed we would be seeing them by now.

IIRC, the military advisor knows of barb camps, not individual units.

So are we going to the hill 3W of Hef's or to the tile 1 E of the lake? I'd prefer the lake unless the warrior on the mountain to the NW is able to meet up with the settler and provide a proper escort .

The hill 3W has everything going for it. As a GW site that is and a general production intensive site. We will have the two warriors converge on the area to give us clear view of all tiles so no risk in moving the Settler there.

Barbs, I think it strange we have no camps, not that he did not know about the lonely barb. Sorry if I was unclear.

Yes the mil advisor only tells you about actual barb camps. So either there arn't any or he should be sacked ;)

Very uneventful, but for the fact the barb is now dead. Settler in 2, Warriors x 2 next turn and the Settler is moving unthreatened. Worker near LF in position to start improving tiles now, we need both the FP and the Oasis irrigated and roaded, then mining the Sugar. MS will go for a Worker next I guess? Warrior from LF should take MP duty in Hef's so the Warrior north of Hef's can stay and fog bust in preparation for the next Settler. Next two builds in LF are they still Curraghs? We are starting to have more to do each turn as the number of units and locations grow. We have taken the lead in this game so now it is just a question of not allowing anyone to catch up, right? ;) Next town on the hill, should we run it to build a GW immediately, Pyramids or?

EDIT: Worker near LF will start with road then irrigate the FP. That fits perfectly with food production since we will have 12 food in the box at the when the irrigation is finished and then 2 more turns at 4fpt until it grows to size 4.

it looks like Freedom Central has spawned another settler too. so that's 3 vs 2 and we're in a better position :D. Also it looks like everyone else is running a 4-5 factory which bodes well for us getting Philo since they'll have to increase lux unless they have the MP to quell resistance.

I'm a little leary about that settler heading 1 W when the tile 2 W can't be un-fogged next turn.

2W will be unfogged by the Warrior moving N onto the mountain, But AFAIK we still have no barb camps in the area? Mil Advisor still not concerned about such things.
