Turns 21-40

The minimap tells me to head west with the curragh. I'd pop a worker (settler would be my second choice) in between curraghs.

I like the play on words that Ynnek and Butterball proposed. Reese Withoutherspoon and Hilton of Paris.

Good point.
If we go west it may mean there's a connection south. The west and the south have vast blackness on the minimap.
 
I think we should think of ourselfs to be in the "middle" of the known world due to x/y wrap. So the blackness on the minimap is a bit illusionary.
 
I honestly think that if we go NE we will find someone quicker. There is no point in adding y-wrapping if there's not a connection that way. Unless Rik is just playing with our heads and knew we would think that and not put anything that direction. ouch that thinking stuff hurts if your not used to it.


Anyway, since any direction is in theory just as likely to find people it really doesn't matter.
 
Given the map wraps on the x and y axis it means whatever direction we go we will eventually run into someone.

Also given that the only arrangement where all 5 teams have an equal distance from each other is a circular one the sea we have found could well be an inland one. I know its a lot of assumptions but it does make sense.
 
Turn played. We lost the wounded Warrior outside the Barb.Camp. BTW, is there any replqy so you can follow battles during AI and other teams turns? Else how do you know how wounded their units are or their losses?

Curragh started moving NE, several opted for both choices and I guess I picked the one argued for last (Tubby two posts above).
Next settler ready next turn. LF have now switched to Settler/Worker or whatever we decide in the next couple of turns. I guess Worker has a stronger support so far but it is not too late to enter an opinion.

there is no barb replay unfortunately. so it's an extra benefit to going last. If the last team sees it, they could inform you, but I wouldn't count on it as it's not required at all. so that information is lost to the sands of time

Worker will be ready in 4 turns. Settler in 10 if that is the first to be built. Curragh could be entered into the plan too. The most important question is actually not to allow LF to grow too much beyond size 3 until we have a lux connected. So culling pop for a while seems like a good idea. Worker will have connected Lux in 11 turns so Worker/Settler or Worker/Curragh/settler are the apparent choices.

BTW: Li-Lo will have a Warrior come off the assemply line next turn. Should we take a second right after this or go for a Worker first? We have the Barbs NW to deal with.
 
IMHO LI-LO should go for another warrior, we want the 25gold there as well

I think it's worker or settler then curragh. I think with the capital spitting out 4 turners we're going to be rapidly behind in workers so that's why I suggested worker.

Wotan another thing on battles. When we fight one of the other teams we'll post a battle log to them.

4/4 Samurai 2/4 kills 4/4 Pike

I say Li-Lo should go for the warrior.

Ditto, what Booti said! This type of game doesn't begin to get interesting until the diplo begins with the other teams. :p

Settler en route to "4" will found next town in 5 turns. Warrior from Li-Lo to act as security.
2 Workers and a Warrior in 3 turns, next Settler in 4.
