Turns 61-80

Currently it seems you Americans/Canadians will be up for the next turn. So, you can do all the checking etc. Let's just hope lemming makes it...this is the most exciting turn so far

and thanks whomp for the detailed analysis of their players....I like the Haka dance, Kiwis are quite nice people usually...I spent 4.5 months there in '92 (and met a not so famous Peter Jackson at the uni I was studying at, he just had released his latest movie 'braindead' and asked us to support the New Zealand film industry...I went to chat with him afterwards, nice guy then...)

sorry for the boring personal details

Ha-ha, managed to play trurn 63 while getting ready to leave...
Unfortunately Lemming preished so have sent the other Curragh in search of it...
Hef's will grow to 4 so remember to switch use of forest, Hef's should work a BG for 5 food and Li-Lo use the forest for a turn.
No map but nothing much happened and it could just confuse things I guess, use the last turns "info packed" map. EDIT: Forgot to move the Warrior on the mountain next to Hilton of Paris, it should move towards the area the Settler is about to enter on it's way to the coastal plains.
MM ready next turn, so a new tech need to be started...

that's a real pity :(

well, hopefully the next boat will make it

and what do we research next? HBR or IW or something completely different?

Poor Lemming. Poor Capt. Hazelwood.

The least we can do is full honors.

:ar15: :ar15: :ar15: :ar15: :ar15: :ar15: :ar15:

(Okay, they don't usually do full auto for a 21 gun salute, but he was a REALLY good captain).

I'm in favor of HBR for our next tech. I think it would be good to dedicate a city w/ barracks to full Mounted Warrior production. I think it would be good to have them READY when we want to make a move, or should a move be made against us.

I think HBR sound really good, then we can send them the councils way and taunt donsig with them;)

I agree with HBR as well for the said reasons

Well, with the sinking of Lemming we have more time to decide how to present ourselves.

Who should be BABE's diplomatic face from Hefner's Palace? I want to project the right impression.

Of course, other submissions are gladly accepted.

Anyone watch WWF when the 'Godfather' was there? maybe him for the main reason of him having a 'ho train'

Hi guys, found a computer with internet access in the reception... A bit of clandestine activity, hi-hi! Surprised Council have yet to pass the turn on but maybe not. Not the first time they lag... IW or HBR are equally good I guess and with the failed contact we are still on our own. So whatever the next turn player decides I guess we can live with.

Dinsog is done with the save, so I take it we're on a first-come first-played here, Wotan you have net but no civ, right?

first come first serve is prolly best. Everyone willing to play should subscribe to the turn tracker thread

Well, Booti, your second selection at least has the correct color on his uniform. :mischief:

I don't think we should try to suicide with a Curragh again, we should wait for a galley to be available, because the odds of a curragh surviving 2 stops in an ocean tile are much smaller than a galley surviving 2 stops in a sea tile.

Correct, we were not "allowed" to bring our computers to the conference but I found a "loophole" here at the resort. A computer in the reception the staff allows me to access internet with...

Curraghs and survivability in sea/ocean. I am pretty sure the chances are the same in sea and ocean so it should not make a difference.

I think this is blasphemously wrong, the odds are 50% either way, so 25% for the combined trip.

I'm sure i read somewhere sea and ocean makes a difference but i could be wrong. So by B's odd we should build another 2 boats :)

My Conclusion: This appears to be quite simple: there are no other factors besides if you are Seafaring or not. If you are Seafaring, it's 75% of survival, regardless of difficulty level, terrain, ship, turns spent in water. If you are not Seafaring, it's 50%. It might not always been exactly 50% or 75% due to the random number generator, but I would always expect it to be within 15-20%.

Ocean doesn't matter I guess

Got the save, playing soon

After micro and 100% science set, we are at 4 turns for IW, so I believe it's worth it to know where iron is.

We need a tech plan, a dotmap and a building priority. We are still making a bunch of warriors that we don't need - should we go all out on libraries this early? Just massing up workers might be self defeating but I will make a lot.

Should we start a FP build? It would set us back on military for now but it doesn't matter unless we plan on invading someone as soon as we get GLH.

Pictures for the dotmapping.

I think that the FP would be a great idea. Workers will be needed to improve the entire island so build away. I would get just enough warriors to allow our inner core to get up to size 6 or 7.

tech plan imo would include getting a higher form of government asap, but that's just my opinion
