Other Stuff

- Set Espionage Weight: Lincoln 3, Hatty 1. Switch to 3/0 after scouting Spain.
- Trade Resource with Lincoln: our 2nd Rice when farmed for Crabs.
- Random Events will be resolved by immediate vote in the #turnchat IRC channel, with a veto from the Turn Player [me in this session] if the vote seems to come from the opposition with the intent of harming the Prime Faction.


Session Stoppers

When either one of these events occur, the session will be stopped:
- Discovery of Alphabet
- When Spain + Spanish backlands 'till shores are fully mapped or we discover Spain has copper access [which indicates she knows where it is and thus has BW too]
- When we make contact with another nation
- Declaration of a War on our continent
- Arkadia settle plan blocked
- Arkadia founded

So which is it? I prefer Edorai "The Noble Warrior City of Thunder". This will ring true when our Horse Archers are marching on Madrid.
 
I would also add to the Session Stoppers:
If we discover that Spain has copper and BW (in a nutshell Spears). The assumption they do not has ruled all discussions on war, relations and techs to alot of Citizens. We could also devise a contengincy plan to avoid play stoppage.
 
Yeah, if Spain has connected copper, that is a turnstopper too. We already know they may have copper, as there is a copper tile. And they may research Bronzeworking too. But this should only be a stopper if they are to connect it with a worker (city in neighboring tiles fat cross and worker heading for copper)
 
Horse Archer is only there as a placeholder for training (getting XP), if it dies, it dies, but would not affect the bigger picture at all, only the later implementation of it.
 
- Random Event with more than 1 option
I don't think we have a choice of saving, for random events with more than one option. It probably requires the choice to be made and the popup closed before you can do anything else. With that in mind, a generic instruction which covers how to handle events would be the best approach. See the new discussion on the topic.
 
Good point Daveshack, we need to develop Random Event Policies, also giving some good mandate to the turnplayer.
 
Once the scout has scouted spanish lands I think it should then exit Spanish lands to the west and reveal terrain beyond Spain. I think that is implied in the instructions but not explicity said.
 
Indeed, with Spanish lands, identify if this is a bigger continent or not.
 
Updated "Other Stuff" with Handling of Random Events
 
I would like to interchange the worker and archer in New Giruvegan's build order.
 
Arkadia has an extended build queue now but we're waiting for Kwp's approval- also is Arete providing a worker for us?
 
Whether Arete is providing a Worker or not is probably up for Turnsession 6 discussion. I'm pretty sure there will be a Session Stopper... <hmmmm>
In fact, I'll add "Foundation of Arkadia" to the list of Session Stoppers...

This still requires one more build item after the settler for Arete..
I'd like to hear a Legion Faction representative to come up with a proposal..
 
I am hoping we get a worker from Spain.

I am not in charge of this but since I am a member of the Legion I will say a Library. But this choice can be superseded by Shattered or Ballazac. I do not think we will get to this anyway
 
Build queue for Arkadia is Monument (working forested silk river tile) then work on granary until pop 2 (still using the silk river tile), then switch to cow and silk to produce worker, then finish granary, then move on to library. (Long version of the queue, but just in case the session goes longer than the monument.) ((This is still being discussed, but queue is definitely Monument -> Granary -> Worker -> Finish Granary, only issue is whether to stay on silk)

Placement of Arkadia as you have specified is also correct.

Point of clarification (I'm fairly certain, but want to see it recorded here, please) Archer being produced in Arete, prior to the Settler will escort the settler to found Arkadia and be fortified there, correct?

Also, I believe that producing a new worker in Arete, while extremely helpful to Arkadia will slow down the potential war effort, so I am in favor of working on our own worker for now, and getting assistance later in chopping the granary and/or library in the future.
 
What will the instructions for the next TC be?
