Two quick questions

I have two really quick and unrelated questions that somebody can hopefully answer.

1. Do medic promotions on different units stack? For example, if I have two guys with a 10% faster healing rate promotion, will the stack they're on heal 20% faster?

2. When will an AI accept you as a vassal state? I notice that the option to give yourself over as a vassal is always redded out, but in some games I have the AI offering themselves to me as a vassal. I think it could be fun to play as somebody else's henchman, and I've seen vassals win games before.

Thanks to anybody who can give me an answer. :)

Medic promotions on different units do not stack.

Medic also does not stack with the Woodsman III promotion if the two are on different units.

Medic DOES stack with Medic III (available only to Great General promoted units) and Medic I and Medic III DO stack with Woodsman III if they are all on one unit.

The only things that stack when on different units are Combat IV/V bonuses to healing. Combat IV/V gives a 10% bonus to that particular unit's healing. Medic and other promotions give a bonus to healing to every one of your units in that stack.

See http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=157954 for complete details.

i have never lost a war that badly for an AI to want you as a vassal but i assume you would have to hav at least half his land, population and power as well as be thought to be losing the war. if you are really desperate, i suspect you could edit the xml to allow you to do it but i'm no programmer.

I thought I remember hearing that you cannot become a vassal. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that was my understanding.

you can never be an AI's vassel, the option you see on the diplo screen is to ask for the AI to be your vassel. Most of the time they won't, but if they really like you and your power is much higher then his (or hers) then it's possible.
