UFOs are from another world?

Are UFOs from another world? I have read some stuff on UFOs. Seems like they are like rather common around the world and yet I have never seen one in my life.
Some think UFOs carry visitors from another world with intelligence beings. Other think that they are a US govt secret project or time-travel vehicles from our future. Many too view these UFO sightings as hoaxes or mistakes or symptoms of mass hallucination.
What do you believe?

I have seen a UFO before, it was far away only a light point in the sky that was flashing a little bit. Thats why I noticed it. I first thought it was a star and suddenly flash I only saw a big stripe of light in the sky. From the point where the light point was. And it was gone.

But whether UFO's are alien or manmade. I honestly don't know.:alien:

Of course there are inteligent beings out there.. somewhere but I think at least 95% of the UFO sightings you hear about are fakes.

I have to confess - I voted no. Just interested in how others think. For some ppl, it's almost like a religion.
Two things - one if you're an intersellar traveller travelling dozens of light yrs to Earth, wouldn't you want a state reception to receive you when you arrive at this faraway exotic primitive world? To use an allegory when Colombus sailed to the Indies (or thought he did), he sailed right onto shore, landed and made contact with the inhabitants.
Secondly, if aliens want to cloak their presence amongst us, they are doing a very poor job of it. As an advanced technological civ, they shld be able to do effectively and can probably scan the entire Earth fr deep space, yet they betray their presence to us in so many "sightings". Makes me wonder......

To say there is no inteligent life in the universe is crazy!!!

But to say all UFO's are from another world....I doubt it. Most are probably government experiments and tests. But it wouldn't suprise me if a few have visited. I must ask why haven't they destroyed the place yet.....then again, maybe they thought we were doing a good enough job.

i read in magazine that the chance of getting a new earth like ours that incorporate the distance between earth and the 24 hours rotation and all of that are almost non-existant its like to win the jackpot to the lottery 100 times in a row. that why i think that the possiblilities to find another intelligent life in our galaxy are very thin..

but i believe that U.F.O is something to be explained.

To assume that intelligent life can only grow on "Earth" like planets is nutz!! I agree that it would be impossible to find two excact planets (like two snowflakes) but to say that because of this there is no life??? Phiff....that's right...I Phiff'ed at your theroy!!

Maybe but our earth is not the exclusive way for life to exist. 23 or 25 hr rotation, years that last 360 or 370 days or whatever doesn't mean that life is unable to exist. the only significant detail is the distance to a sun so the planet isn't too hot/cold but everything else doesn't kill life (unless it's extreme )

I believe that other planets have life on them but I don't really believe i UFOs anymore because:
1) All you ever see is moving lights
2) Surely they would do something rather than just fly about and abduct people
3) If they can reach Earth they must be more powerful so they could easily take over Earth. Unless they are peace loving
4) Although life is likely, them being massively more advanced than us is not
5) No hard proof
6) Damn ran out of steam...

I was thinking that well, the Milky Way galaxy (our galaxy if you don't know) is 10 billion yrs old. And in all that time, surely some advanced technological intelligences shld have arisen and set up a spacefaring intersellar empire or something. Yet we haven't seen any evidence of anything like this in our quadrant of the galaxy.
So maybe, just maybe, intersellar travel is impossible or not practical. So we may have all these millions of alien civs all stuck in their own islands in space. Incl us.
Or maybe we are the only advanced technological intelligence in the galaxy. But extremely highly unlikely. Hmmmm....

I saw an UFO(unidentified flying object) also. My bro in law saw it too... The way it moved was unexplainable... Without getting too detailed, IF it was manmade, it should have crashed. It was jerky and traveled in wiggly lines, then it would shoot in the opposyite direction quick and fast before wiggling around and "bouncing" again... I dunno...

I do believe that there's intelligent life out there. But I seriously doubt UFOs are originating fr them (read my threads above). So I am with you! Sort of........

Anyone here ever read MARS? THere are canyons on Mars equivalent to the Grand Canyon here on Earth and in some places, wider and deeper. Well, in this FICTION, astronauts look down into one of these huge canyons and see clouds down there. Which means moisture, which could possibly mean life. They get down there, and find some little plants, algae I believe, growing down there. I thought it was great, no frickin aliens that bust out of you while eatin pizghetti, but it was good all the same. I think it was Ben Bova? Maybe David Brin, I get my authors mixed up and it's been years since reading it...

But to the point I believe that somewhere in this Universe is Int. live, their must be. Please don't tell me that we're the only thinking beings in this Universe. Because if thats the case, we're really F*cked.

Floppa's just made the statement that plenty of world leaders believe in. The short term is the only thing thats important especially if you are only going to be in power for a maximum of 8 years. Its the same reason why people live next to volcanoes and earhtquake zones, because they are unlikely to happen when you are alive.

When a friend and i were in Norway last year, we saw a UFO(yes)
getting chased by two norwegian fighters, not that they would have had any chance to intercept it though, but still it was quite a sight.
