Uluru

I put a city next to the natural wonder Uluru (Ayers Rock). The game allowed me to build an observatory in the city but would not let be build Neuschwanstein. So it is a mountain for some buildings but not for others. Weird. I did not expect I could build either.

Got a screenshot? Neuschwanstein only requires that a mountain be within a couple tiles of your city, while the observatory requires it to be right next to the city.

That is correct.

Most natural wonders (with a few exceptions) count as mountains for Observatories and Terrace Farms, but none of them count as mountains for Machu Picchu or Neuschwanstein.
