The original Romanian tricolor had no emblems on it, so the Romanian flag does predate that of Chad (independent since 1960.)

African countries flags are ugly anyway, with lots of spears and backwards tribal junk on them. My flag would have dollar signs and pictures of yachts, televisions, and airplanes on it.

Anyway, it appears to me that Romania has the better claim, but since both have a good claim, the best might be to ask both to add a coat-of-arms of some sort.

Lame, since what is considered of material worth will change with time. Thus just money signs, or gold on your flag would be better.

I was kind of hoping some greeniac or someone in the middle of ordering a Che Guevara T-shirt would post that American flag made of 50 corporate logos instead of 50 stars.

Ironically, like half of those logos on there are foreign-owned companies.
