Unable to Create Chalid Astrakein

Related problem:

I have actually built Chalid, but it disappeared on me, with no apparent reason for it.
Never switched religion, not even accidently...
It happened after a reloaded saved game, if that may help solve the mystery here.

Seems like a bug, but I have been wrong before...

Here are some save games from my Chalid disappearance.
Turn 236 - Chalid leads a happy charge on some Kuriotate settlement (no he did not fall)
Turn 240 - no sign of Chalid, no entry of his death in combat log, MIA

P.S.
I hope the save files are attached. I am kinda new to this...

Civilopedia mentions something about civic requirements in addition to religion, but with no specifications I believe.
And I don't think that changing civics cost me Chalid either.
I planned on turning to undercouncil which he might not have liked (extra vote in overcouncil), but he ws gone before i made a change.

Chalid has no civic requirement, so that does not apply in his case. Once you have him, the only ways I know of to lose him is for him to die or for you to change religion. You might want to check your Military Advisor (F5) to see if he's listed there; maybe you accidentally clicked "automated explore" and he wandered off.

I did check it. He was listed under disciple units once and then he was not.
I reloaded the savegame with him and he is still around now, with undercouncil and all.
I might have accidently deleted him though, along with Loki's puppets...

Have anyone ever tried Belseraphs with Empyrean?

I can't open the save file, it is protected. So I am guessing that you accidentally deleted him as you said.

Best wishes,
