unable to load texture

hi just installed the gods and kings expansion but it keeps telling me unable to load texture..
it happens when i start a new game, when im entering the leaders screen, and in a few occasions during the game: 1. each time it goes to next turn it shows me at least one time this error massage, sometimes even more. 2. when i want to use my cities to kill an enemy unit 3. when im trying to speak to some empires instead of seeing their characters all i see is a massage: im a place holder etc.

Just when you start civ, go to the options, and there should be a tab for graphics.
You'll see different options for leaders, the terrain, tesselation, anti-aliasing, and so on. These settings I mean.

So, for your computer...it's below the minimum specs. And the graphics driver is old.
Normally I'd say update the drivers, but since that could also lead to some problems, I'd first suggest you turn all the graphics settings down to minimum (your graphics cardcan seriously not handle more), and try if it's then in a playable state. If not, then you need a driver update.

I'll try it. About the graphics driver and the computer itself, besides that annoying message all the time, the game runs ok, only on a specific matter there is this messages... Just checked, and im using the minimum graphical settings

I updated my driver but it's still giving me those errors. Are you sure it's about the driver? Most of the game is running good... (The empires which I can't see: Denmark, Polynesia, Korea)

Is this a bug that not having these three as DLC effects G&K?

The DLC problem is certainly not related to the drivers, but the others are .

In G&K you should have a menu where you can enable/disable DLCs. Can you see them there?

Yes. All three of them.. I believe that the problem is with their pics..

I can see their names, but not their characters... It happens (error notification) as well on the occasions I mentioned on the 1st message

In Steam, please verify the integrity of the game files. That should redownload all the broken files.

I don't think I have the steam folder... how can I find/install it?

There has to be a Steam folder, should be one of the main folders on your C drive (or in Program files, can't say for sure).

The DXDIAG file shows you are using a Pentium Dual Core with Intel integrated graphics. This is well below the minimum requirements for the game. Your system memory is at the bare minimum. Essentially, your computer doesn't have enough memory (system or video) to load the textures, and isn't keeping up with the game. You could try updating the drivers, but I don't think you're going to have much luck.

Steam is not a folder. Steam is how you launch the game. Right click on the game in the steam library and choose properties. The third tab should be local files. The last option is verify intergrity of game cache.
