Unassigned Trait combos - a list for reference!

I think Protective could do well with a bonus to Espionage.

I like this idea much better than the thoughts about making pillaging harder. Would be fairly easy to implement too. Just make espionage action require more points when against protective leaders.

I just realised, with16 new leaders, only one trait will remain unassigned, i think it'll be Phil/Ind.

There are 19 unused trait combos currently, so with 16 new leaders 3 will remain unassigned.

EDIT: If you are looking at Dutch Canucks original post, he did not include Joao II (expansive, imperialistic) or Boudica (Aggressive/Charismatic).

Oh okay, i get what i did noe... sorry about that....

I do hope they put someone as Ind/Imp (my hope is Justinian), it would be such a cool combo. to play with.

I think Suleyman fits Ind/Imp more with Justinian getting Spi/Imp, but I'm happy either way.

From what I've read Suleiman would be suited to Four traits:

Creative
(massive culturall accomplishements under his rule, "Some of Suleiman's verses have become Turkish proverbs", also a vast amount of laws etc.)

Industrious
(Large scale building "Sinan became responsbile for over three hundred monuments through the empire")

Imperislaistic
(Inlargered empire, Ottomans reached their venith under him, respected even in the west.)

Expansive
(see above)

Personally i think the best trats for Suleiman would be expansive/Creative (which was fearsome in Cyrus's hands in civ 4), given the great extent of cultural deveolpment and vast expansion of the borders.

Justinian should (in my opinon), be Imp/Ind, since he tried to rebuild the Roman empire, solidified law from a state into a empire (justinian code) etc. and he ordered the rebuilding of a third of Constantinople after the Nica riots, along with new buildings and construction across the empire, and the Hagia Sophia.

Actually, if you want to represent lawmaking (either of Justinian or Suleyman), Organized, not Creative, represents that the best. Creative represents arts and culture.

And Dnomal shouldn't be given the mathematic trait!!!

I think if you re-read you'll realise you are mistaken *secretly praises editing*.

I was kinda distracted when writing...

Martinus - I guess you're right about Orgnaized representing law making, but since there was a struggle between Suleiman's brothers (which was a virtual civil war) i didn't think that he could be really given the "Organized" trait, *shrugs* my opinon.

They could (and will) add NEW traits.

Then, to "balance" the game, they rearrange ALL THE TRAITS!

BWAHAHAHA!!!

Edit: But still, good thinking with the list. Now, come up with a list of new leaders for Civ IV that completes it ingame. BWAHAHAHA!!!

Yes, I agree with the new traits. In Warlords all the new traits had some effect on military and Warfare. This leaves four military traits against five non-military traits. They should add more peacefull tratis.

I don't think they'll be adding more traits, we'd have heard about them by now, since we've been told about so amny things, also they'd have to re-balance leaders etc. and that'd take time they dont really have given there's 52 days till release.

I think they've already announced that there will be a new trait, and most likely, if there is one, Firaxis has already reassigned the combinations.

They just keeping it from you in one, big, complex plot on the scale of the Matrix without a budget.

No, they haven't announced a new trait.

Huh...

They could do so much with a new trait...

was this in a preview or just an educated guess, cause if it was in a preview could you post a link

This might be of assistance for the debate:

(hope it's not too big)

I really think neither Agg/Cha (!) nor Ind/Phi should be in the game. Sounds like this turns out to be a vote for new traits.

So... 19 unused trait combos...

I smell a challenge.

Well Firaxis has Queen Boudica of the Celts assigned as Agg/Char, and Joao II of Portugal got Exp/Imp. So really it's 17. 17 is still a challenge! :D

Loknar, could you update that image with Boudica and Joao II if you made it?
